  1. It is actually the actuation force that is the issue for me. I assumed actuation force for optical keyboards was adjustable but it seems now that isn't the case so I will have to look out for that on the specs list
  2. That is news to me. I will have to do some more research then. Any anecdotal responses would be appreciated though
  3. I unfortunately have RSI and am unable to use Cherry Red/Blue/Brown switches. The only switches I can use comfortably for an extended period of time are Speed switches. I was considering switching to an Optical keyboard but I am not sure if my hands will like it or not. Does anyone have a similar situation that can comment on this or know roughly how they compare?
  4. It just fixed itself over the weekend. No Windows updates were installed (other than security definitions), no PUBG or Steam updates were installed, and no Windows restarts. It was just broken one night and the next day it was working
  5. The installation failed every time I tried to install Windows 11 using the mediacreationtool from their website. Kept saying I need to restart. I ended up manually installing it from the command prompt using the below video and the same USB that was failing. Recreating the USB with the tool or using Rufus on an ISO both broke on 2 different USBs and a MicroSD card The sfc /scannow found errors and I think the DISM did as well looking at the CBS log file. Going to restart and check if it fixed it Edit: Still occurring unfortunately
  6. I had hoped this day would never come, can't believe I just installed Epic Games. Great idea though, I didn't realise it was also on there. It is the same happening after the same amount of time so I guess it is either PUBG/OS issue
  7. Not a problem, I appreciate the suggestions all the same I have been in DX11 as PUBG says it was the most stable. Just tried DX12 and same issue
  8. Also no luck here. I assume it is a software issue not hardware given it still works in Windows 10?
  9. It was a fresh install on a new SSD so there shouldn't be old drivers but I did try a DDU run I had updated all but the chipset but unfortunately after doing this it did not fix the issue
  10. I tried closing everything I recognised as non-system processes and that narrowed it down to this. Not sure if I missed anything that is a possible test item
  11. I have my previous installation on the old SSD and I can reboot into it at any point and it works fine but defeats the purpose of upgrading to Windows 11 to only downgrade for 1 game. I would prefer to not play it than reinstall Windows 10 and everything else on my new drive again at this point in time
  12. Yes 5950x AMD 64gb RAM Samsung 990 2tb for OS and PUBG (moving PUBG to other drives doesn't change it) 1080ti I assumed specs were irrelevant given I can reboot to Windows 10 and it works fine No luck unfortunately
  13. I just installed a new SSD with Windows 11. After three days (it worked until then), PUBG decides to crash every 5 minutes and 30 seconds after I click Play in Steam. It does not matter whether the game is fullscreen, windowed, minimized, in lobby or in game. I can play other games for longer (tried Hitman 2, Halo Infinite and Rocket League) and I can reboot onto my old SSD with Windows 10 and it works fine. Most online posts are stating that I should install the Microsoft C++ Redistributables but I have done that multiple times to no avail. Has anyone here faced similar issues or have any idea?
  14. Has there been any testing on the Sticklocks with controllers where the joystick is hot swappable? In my case the Xbox Elite controllers.
  15. I forgot about the PSU fan so will check it as well thanks. Would a dead bearing be intermittent noise though?
  16. From the videos they have sent they appear to be unobstructed but if there was something there I would expect it to be a constant noise?
  17. My friends computer randomly makes this very loud noise similar to a boat motor. It can happen during gaming or just regular emails and YouTube. I tried FurMark and Prime95 at the same time and could not reproduce the noise under heavy load. I also tried Crystal Disk Mark incase the hard drive was wonky but no luck there either. The only thing of note is it appears the GPU fans don't all turn on under a light load (0 at idle, 1 under some load and 3 at full load) but this may just be normal on newer cards(?). I have told them if it happens again to try gently stop each fan to see if it is caused by one of them but I am a bit stumped at what could be causing it. Any suggestions? 341907522_9991691644189555_5298275410228557289_n.mp4
  18. I have a SecretLab Chair and they sell official rubber ones but they lower the total carry weight limit of the chair. I thought this was wrong but I asked their support twice and got the same answer from two different representatives.
  19. I am trying to find something other than all the clear plastic mats to go underneath my chair at my desk. I can find plenty of options online that are rectangular or circular but nothing with a lip (t-shaped) that isn't plastic. I was thinking I could just get an LTT desk pad and cut it to fit into the gap of the desk. Has anyone tried this? My main concern is if the weight of the chair will shred through it (eventually it likely will but I mean in the short-term) or if it the weight will make the rubber backing eventually stick to the laminate underneath that I am trying to protect
  20. Unsure how related it is but my school had gave Lenovo ThinkPads to students around 2010 with Windows 7 and we had issues where if you shut the lid before it had finished sleeping or hibernating, it wouldn't complete the process. This lead to multiple laptops dying in backpacks (including my own) and eventually realising this issue, having to recommend to students to make sure the power indicator light switched off before closing the lid. And given this was a bunch of teenagers with free laptops, that advice wasn't exactly followed
  21. No I am not but that does help explain it a bit after some further sleuthing. I access the site a fair bit as I have built three computers using them in the past two months and my housemates also access their site so I guess they flag our addresses as bots for high activity
  22. If I try access canadacomputers.com on my home network (desktop or phone), it redirects me to their Instagram account no matter which link I go to. If I use mobile data it lets me through to their website. Any recommendations on solutions?
  23. My biggest gripe with building PCs and screwdrivers is screws that are right next to a vertical obstacle (particularly PCIE slot brackets and CPU coolers). I find I have to screw in from an angle as there is not enough room for my hand and/or the handle to fit perpendicular to the surface and thus the screw goes in incorrectly. I end up using either a flexible extension like in the iFixit kit or a very long (Be Quiet CPU cooler accessory) Phillips 2 that is larger than the case so the handle is outside. For those that have tried it already or will soon, how does the LTT Screwdriver compare to this? Is it too short/bulky to stay perpendicular or does the ratcheting help enough for the lack of hand space
  24. It's an LSI HBA and I didn't know if there was standard mount holes. I have swapped them before on other products but always shipped in the box so didn't know if it was standard or not
  25. Bracket that goes on the expansion card
