  1. i used to clean mine with a microfiber cloth and some isoprophyl alcohol to be honest, acrylic scratches with anything, is a nightmare is the main reason i moved to a case with glass pannel
  2. what type of ethernet cables are you using, at least cat5e? are youu using a switch or a router? is that device gigabit capable? on windows you can force full duplex press windows key + r key in the execute window wrote ncpa.cpl that will call network adapters, select the ethernet adapter used, rigth click and properties, click on configure in advanced options tab look for duplex and speed, force 1gbps full duplex to force maximum soeed allowed on the adapter and cable, repeat this on both devices, try again remember that this speed is measured in megabits, not megabytes, divide megabits per 8, to get the real speed in megabytes
  3. i would exoect to be doable by using ryzen master, but yes if is a laptop and you just bougth it and already need to overclcock you wont get much more of it, other than lots of heat and lots of noise going together with system instability, sudden crashes or restarts
  4. by looking at the specs page on lg, yes, it seems that you have a dvi only monitor, hdmi to dvi adapter should work if it doesnt, perhaps a displayport to dvi, not sure if in this case you need a active adapter, i think it doesnt need such adapter, just a simple hdmi to dvi d converter like this one https://www.amazon.com/Benfei-Bidirectional-Female-Adapter-Gold-Plated/dp/B07CXY79KR/ref=mp_s_a_1_1_sspa?hvadid=354663313801&hvdev=m&hvlocphy=1003659&hvnetw=g&hvpos=1t1&hvqmt=b&hvrand=3852750243570962929&hvtargid=kwd-173475719&keywords=dvid+to+hdmi&qid=1563136370&s=gateway&sr=8-1-spons&psc=1 there are cases where it doesnt recognice properly resolution or if you unplug it while is working you might need to restart pc to make it recognice monitor again, adapters are temperamental sometimes
  5. basically is what i did, even if there was any gpu woth any advantage on pcie 4, well, i cant afford it anyway, so need and can must meet, and that is not this year, nor the next people these days use pcs for around 2 to 4 years, so if i would change pc in perhaps 2022, yeah, nice to have pci e4, meanwhile i cant afford it or need it
  6. that gpu is not that old, but doing a small search on google i found two other treads on other sites stating tgat maximum resolution of the hdmi port on that gpu is 1920x1200 is a hardware limitation if i read that correctly on this particular case a new gpu could help alot it seems
  7. if all the inputs you have are dvi on the monitor, yes, i would buy a hdmi to dvi converter, is not nice or perfect but should do the trick what monitor is?
  8. i didnt said anyone insuted anyone, the topic reachet its limit is what i wanted to express op got the information, he should get a new psu but the one he has should be sort of enough so complain about bronze psu, tdp calculations and other details does not help anyone, so, stop beating the dead horse, is already dead, nothing will come from it, that is all
  9. to know if the gpu can or cant, it would be handy to have the model number, the name years ago there were gpus with limitations on resolution, related to hdmi versions, driver limitations and ram limitation, so to know mord more information is required logic tells me that a 8 year old gpu would be better being replaced than buying adapters you dont know if need or can use, but if the build is old and he plans to play games or videos, perhaps depends on the use it will get
  10. poor horse, is dead, stop it, is horrible!
  11. well, the on on the motherboard is male, so i would plug the female one, just based on logic, dont have more info on voltages or if it needs one side or the other
  12. people, calm down, this is a cheap oem pc with a small upgrade also, stop beating the horse about the killawatt, is usefull to check how much watts your pcs and any other electric appliance you have uses, if you care about power consumption and electricity costs
  13. you really sound determined to do it, and i am here wasting your time remember that swap is ram on disk, terribly slow, in this case is not ram on disk, might be ram on microsd, even worse i wish you luck on this attempt to push this tablet to the absolute limit
  14. shouldnt get hot, no, remember that vrms start to fry at around 100 celsius, iirc, gamers nexus made a great video about it my motherboard is on the same boat as yours, it says the same, havent tested it yet, i dont need new bios for at least 1 year, follow manufacturer advise, if it cant do it on one update, do two, is a annoyance but is not a long process, be sure to have a ups, to avoid bad surprises updating bios iirc you go from f4 to f32, then latest version and thats it
  15. on stock cloks is not a risk at all the probl is overclocking it vrms will work hot, so you will need good airflow inside the case so vrms when doing overclock dont get hot, work weird unstable and last less than they should, instead of years, months on your case, ab350m-ds2 doesnt have any form of heatsink over vrm, it doesnt if it is good or bad, it means it will get hot and will need the airflow mentioned previously i used a bad motherbpard on the same situatuons for years, i retired it, never died, worked well with the overclcokc i made in the cpu, my new motherbpard has heatsink on some vrms after overclocking thos r3 2200 to 4ghz, my hand is hotter than those vrms, including the ones withput heatsink my point is, you will be fine but remember that your motherboard is not meant for overclocking, much ?
  16. i personally dont like asrock the aorus or the asus you mention look decent to me days ago buildzoid made a video where he looks at current offerings on multiple prices and sizes, he, being a professional overclocker could tell you if a 4+2 is decent enough
  17. is not if you can, is about if you should those oem come designed to have weak parts, that is why they come in smaller capacities the cpu under load might use more than 80 psu will feel the load when you add a gpu, you will hear that psu fully loaded, if it overloads it will overheat and might shut down your gpu is really weak, if you put something more strong, be sure to replace that psu go ahead but keep in mind that the psu is for light office load, well, with that gpu will not be a gaming pc either i expect your pc to use around 170 watts, so psu should be fine, once you replace gpu, you will need another psu probably
  18. all people dont do other thing than praise msi tomahawk and bazooka motherboards has to be microtatx?
  19. pci expres 3.0 on a x16 slot cant be maxed out yet, it will be maxed out by gpus in a couple years to be honest, most of us will not need pci express, not for 3 more years i think pci express 4 is menat to provide more speed when needed in the future, at the moment pci express 3.0 is enough for gpus that exist today
  20. a normal capture card will do just that, capture a signal comming from a hdmi devoce, like the switch and then allow you to record or at least see the signal do you have a specific capture card in mind? look at this video
  21. most manufacturers never give exact numbers, that is why you see reviewers trying to measure amperages and voltages with lots of equipment none gives exact numbers really, they promise tdp that sometimes is wrong or optimistic what you can measure easily is total power consumption, buy a killawatt remember that if you buy a too small psu it will work at the limit under load, so it will generate heat and makes noise thanks to the fan it has a fujitsu prebuild pc might use a custom psu that you might not be able to change for a normal psu sold in stores
  22. psu should not make noises, consider getting another if this one is old and out of warranty buy a new one if you need, a decent 600 watts psu from a known brand, corsair, evga, seasonic, something decent
  23. no, all power cables can carry basically the same voltages, you might encounter bad cables for the psu, but taliing about cables doing poor contact in the psu connector, stuff like that your comments make me think you got wotried by the failure and dont know who to blame time to get some answers, first check if voltage and wiring on your house is working properly from there you could tell us pc specs, how old parts are
  24. goto10

    Eagle Box

well, storage can indeed be m.2 but also can be ssd glued to the psu or behind the gpu, also could be a laptop hard disk, but a fast one, ssds at 1tb are cheap these days, but psu location to me looks decent, cables wound have to do weird angles or travel too long distances, in fact you will need custom cables, to do cable management do you have plans for front usb panel? buttons to power on the pc?
  25. i forgot to mention, be sure to know from where the noise is coming, a psu should never makes any noise apart from the fan spinning, i would find out from where the noise is comming from
