  1. This was Google's last chance... I have been patient, and accepted that we in Scandinavia never got the Nexus Player, the Pixel C or the first Pixel phone because I thought: Next time, we'll get it. But we didn't. I love the Nexus phones, because of the stock android and Google keeping the phones updated (compared to other brands...). But seeing Google stopped caring about worldwide availability, my Nexus 5X will be replaced by an iPhone. Yes I could import it from the UK or Germany, but it's a matter of principle now. Goodbye android, you're dead to me (except for Android TV on my Nvidia Shield)
  2. The Ravpower I got has only 1 usb type c, but that one port is both in and out Think it's the same with most type c powerbanks from reputable manufacturers
  3. Actually a bit more complex. If we take the example with the 23000 € car, there is 25 % VAT which means the sale price before tax is 28750 €. Then you add 105 % tax of the first 11380 € of price before tax which is 11949 € and 150 % of the remaining value (17370 €) = 26055 €. So the total price for the 23000 € car is 28750+11949+17370 = 58069 € which about 2,5 times the "factory price".
  4. I interested to see how the citizens of Norway will react, because here in Denmark they want to do the same thing, but it has been pushed back several times - I believe they are aiming for 2019 but only if 50+ % of the listeners of 2018 have switched to DAB+. If if there is an outcry in Norway, the danish government may reconsider. The thing is here it would mean that most car owners wouldn't be able to listen to the radio because here in Denmark way too many drives cars that are 10-20 years old (because of the 150 % tax on cars), so the adaption is rather slow on DAB+. Another thing that bugs be about going digital is when one is having bad reception because of external interference etc. With analog the sound would just be filled with some noise or whatever, usually still able to hear the song or understand the news cast, but with digital if there is too much interference the sound just disappear.
  5. Still need to pay VAT, and it seems more than one country in the EU already had 0 % import tax on PC hardware. So I doubt much will change
  6. I though the first game was pretty average, but I like the idea and the universe. So we'll see how good it's going to be Regarding all the hate back then which I still believe was justified, I was just patient and and waited for proper drivers. So it ran fairly well on my 280X, not in the highest setting though
  7. Weird, it's been 0 % on PC Hardware here for several years at least, even though Denmark is part of the EU. I guess the individual countries had the ability to choose what should be taxed and what shouldn't. You still have to pay VAT though.
  8. Here in Denmark the price for Founders Edition is 6149DKK (924$/827€) which may be in the high end, but honestly its a fair price. Because if I wanted to import it myself the price would be more or less the same (including import taxes and shipping), but I would then lack the 2 year warranty. But if you take salaries into account it is suddenly a whole other story and suddenly it's actually almost cheaper here. At the end of the day it is just an expensive piece of hardware, even for the average american. This sucks for people from countries with lower income than the US, but that is just how it is.
  9. And then there is EVGA ACX 3.0 which is 850DKK(115€) cheaper than founders edition (Source: Komplett.dk)
  10. Yes we have to pay both VAT, duty and probably some handling fee. The amount differs depending on the country. In Denmark there is no duty on computer parts, but 25 % VAT and 160 DKK (~24 $) in handling fee. So it can be viable, but personally I would not import it from the states, since warranty is going to be an issue if the card is faulty. Here in Denmark the warranty period is at least 2 years. But if people want to take the risk you can save a bit of money. (Too lazy to do the math though )
  11. 6125 DKK, thats 20 % more than a student get in state education grant here in Denmark I'm glad that I will graduate in a month and start earning money, so I can afford it (or two ). Anyway it's just like any electronic devices, their increasing prices is higher than the inflation in most countries. I don't if its just the manufacturing costs that's more expensive, because of the complexity, of if companies just want to earn more
  12. That's a postulate. Nokia was big, really big, atleast here in the Nordics (Don't know about the rest of the world) Everyone at my class when I was 12 years old (14 years ago..sigh) had a Nokia, most of them a 3310. Not only was it sturdy but it was the best phone for texting (damn I was fast back then) and things like custom ringtones and snake 2 was the bomb back then But... Although I want them to the succeed, I do fear they've decided to do it a wrong time (a bit late). Right it's dominated by Apple and Samsung, and I think the market is oversaturated. Also a new Nokia is not like the old Nokia, since the name itself isn't enough.... We will see
  13. Obviously you need to wait for the 1180 TI, they say volta is even better than pascal...
