  1. So, I've been thinking about picking a laptop, and it's been a little confusing. So, I am a student. I need a laptop to do light work, like creating a powerpoint, word, documents, and to browse. I do play games, BUT I only play lighter/casual games like csgo, ow, r6 siege, dirt rally, and some other light titles. I only play casually, I only play for fun and no serious gaming at all. I'm fine with medium settings in most games at 1080p with a playable 50+ fps. I don't need the best performance, or the fastest screen. I don't care too much about graphic, and I'm not your typical pro-csgo. I'm not good in games, that's why buying a costly gaming laptop won't make amy difference, and I do travel quite a lot, and I do have some work to get done. Okay, so I need something with decent build quality so it won't break, decent battery life for most of my day, okay performance, portable enough for travel, and one note is that, I do care a little with display, and I would like to have one with decent 290+ nits brightness, and >75% sRGB. If you have any recommendation, especially with intel's comet lake coming soon, I would love to hear it. I've seen some good deals around Asus UX550GE, UX433, UX533, and if there's any gaming laptop that offers good value at around $1000-ish price. I might as well take a look at it, even if it's not the most portable, or best battery life. If you have any suggestion, whether it would be in 2019 or 2020, I would like to hear it all. Thanks.
  2. So, I've been thinking about getting a computer after awhile, and I face 2 choices. Build a PC, or buy a laptop. I'm a student, and my school does give me some —not tons, but some— work that requires a computer, the tasks aren't exactly hard nor difficult, simple tasks like making a powerpoint, word, checking few documents related to school, and probably researching would be easier on a computer than on a phone. I also game. BUT, I don't game as intensively as an average gamer do. If other gamers are very critical about their 60fps minimum, high-setting minimum, or GTX1660 as a must, I'm not that part of demographic. I game casually, I play CS:GO, OW, R6 Siege, DirtRally, and maybe a bit of Tomb Raider. I'm not very critical about 60, 90, 120fps, I think a playable 50+ fps is fine. As for graphic (as I suspect from Rise Of Tomb Raider), a 1080 medium setting is more than fine to me. I don't need 60fps at high setting, 50+ fps at medium setting in 1080p is more than what it takes to make me happy. No, I don't game for 6 hours straight, maybe 2-3 hours at most. Also, I play for fun, I don't care about 1ms difference, nor 300fps in csgo. I play casually because 1) I play in my downtime and just for fun, 2) I'm not good at games in the first place, so I never play them very seriously. I'm just one of those guy in cs:go who rank nova at most, and play only on 4 days in a week, for less than 6 hours of online time in 7 days. Okay, I've explain about my school work and gaming, now, into some other circumstance. First, I travel quite a lot, almost every week I would have to go outside the city, and stay for a couple of days or more. But, my school work isn't very intensive that I need to have access to a computer 24/7. I can do work from a PC, but it would be much more convinient to be able to get work done via laptop. It would also be nice to be able to play games at a decent setting with a playable frame rate. I know a PC would offer crazy performance that is nice but I won't need (just want a little) because my skill is less than what a gaming PC could give. Having a gaming laptop is ok, but it would weight my backpack a little bit, and the battery life won't be enough for a full-day use off the charge. My budget is about $1,000-$1,200 and I don't have the luxury to buy a $300 laptop and build a $700 PC. I just need one device, and just that. Also keep in mind, that the prices of laptops and PC components here in my place is quite unstable, so something might be more expensive here, than in US or EU. Just in case if you want to know what I want in a PC/Laptop, here are a couple of them: 1) Decent screen. Whether it's a computer monitor or a laptop display, I would like to have something that can display around 300 nits minimum, and covers 75% sRGB (70% sRGB absolute minimum). 120Hz I don't need, and I don't need a very fast response time. 2) Peripherals: If it's a laptop, it should have a decent keyboard, trackpad, and a decent speaker. If it's a PC I would like to invest on cheaper mechanical keyboard, entry-level gaming mouse, and a pair of decent speakers that will do just fine to watch movie and Youtube. That's all I have to say, if you want more specific requitement, just ask in the comment, if you have any suggestion, let me hear it. Thanks for passing by *this is a repost in different sub-topics, pleass don't kill me
  3. Good old minecraft, but soon dethroned by csgo or some other shooter titles.
  4. Thefatrat - Close to The Sun William Black - Deep Blue Mike Perry - The Oceans Alan Walker & K391 - Play
  5. I've been thinking to do exactly that, but, would a MX150 on an ultrabook be enough to handle a bit of gaming? I've been looking at Asus' ultrabook lineup with MX150's. But if they're not capable (whether thermally or performance-considered), should I take the ones with a 1050 or 1650? I'm not sure =/ The laptops I've considered are the Asus Zenbook 13s, UX433, and Zenbook 15 UX533. As for gaming laptops, the ones in my mind are Asus TUF, Legion Y540, and Nitro 5. The TUF doesn't have good screen, the Legion is more expensive, and the Nitro doesn't have the best display either. And these gaming laptops have big adapters that I have to carry. So, if you have a suggestion, let me know. I live in Indonesia, and my budget is max 20M rupiahs ($1400), but as I said, laptop prices here are more expensive, so, it's not easy to look for a decent deal.

  7. I'm looking forward to buy a new headphones for musics. I'm really looking forward to upgrade my litsening experience, and with my budget ($120-150), There are 2 options: m50x & HD.4.40 BT. Many says The m50x has superior sound quality, and slightly better build quality. But the senheiser has good sound too, plus it has bt. If you want to bt, buy they HD 4.40 right? It's not that simple... I want a Flat sound signature, and the m50x will deliver that woth no problem. The Senheiser (according to internet rewiews), has bass boost. I listen to 60% acoustic songs, and 40% dj, pop, heavy, rock, or other genre with many bass stuff. So, i thought the bass boost on the HD 4.40 Could (maybe) disturb the audio balance. Which one should i get? The HD 4.40 has a bluetooth, but the m50x has better sound. If you have the HD 4.40BT, tell me of the bass is disturbing the balance, If it's not, I think i'm going with HD.4.40BT. But, if you have a better option for me, let me know! Thanks!
  8. My cousin has this Samsung J7 2016 for more than two years now. And for the past few months the "google play services" on his phone keeps stopping. I've tried to restart, removing cache, force stopping, but nothing works. My friend reccomended me to update the software, but Google Play won't open on his phone, and I've tried to manually install the app (downloading the newest version form google, and installed it manually) but failed to install the new software. I noticed that his Play Services is a little outdated, and I think that's the reason that it keeps stopping. Do you have any idea to help?
  9. Somehwhere around $100. It's not much, but I'm not that rich anyway
  10. I like to play guitar a lot, and sometimes I wanted to record them. I need a microphone to do that, and I'm not talking about those $5,000 microphone, I just need a decent one, that sound better than a phone or cheap ass $30 microphone. I'm no studio guy, so please help.
  11. Which one is better? RTX 2070, and 1080 Ti? I can found them at simillar price, but i cannot decide which one has better value. 1080 Ti is more powerful, but 2070 supports things like ray-tracing, and would be more "Future Proof".
  12. Idk what it called, but i live in indonesia, and there are several "carrier or provider" to choose form if you want to activate wifi
  13. Hey guys! I have good wifi for a few years now. But lately, i got a weird issue. So, when i open youtube, it's fine. It's smooth, fast, and nothing wrong with it. But, when i open anything else that use internet, my internet speed suddenly drop a lot. So, for the past few days, i've been thinking to download a full anime season, just so i can watch later with no buffer, or lag. But, not only i can't open the website (which maybe caused by my wifi carrier), but when i use cellular data, it worled and super fast. So, i tried to use my cellular data to open the website, and when im downloading, i switch to my regular wifi. My wifi is slow as hell, and i can finish my downloading (per episode) in only 30 seconds or so, but with wifi, it takes minutes to do so. And that's not all, when i open apps like online games, shopping app, and most other websites, they are loading very2 slowly. It makes me crazy on "why the hell i can use youtube very fast" (Which many people say that youtube uses more internet bandwith or something) "but still have to wait minutes to load a simple website?" (Not all tho) I need help, because my wifi lately just killed me. If you have any suggestion, feel free to reply.
  14. Back then, My wifi speed is actually pretty decent about 20 - 30Mbps (not MB/s) but there are 6-7 devices in my house that connected to my wifi and the speed is always below 5Mbps. I guess it's time to upgrade my wifi speed and buy a new router
  15. Recently, i started to watch 4K content (like ltt video) on my PC because i just got a new 4K monitor, and i notice a lot of buffering while watching 4K videos on yt, netflix or other platform. I ask my friend about that and he said i need an SSD. and now, i don't know if that's true. Wheter that Because i have a pretty slow wifi, or because i don't have an SSD. The question is. Do i even need an SSD or i just need to fix my internet connection?
  16. Me Personally, not too long ago, like third or the fourth month on last year, i'm looking for some laptops, and suddenly i saw the Dell XPS 13, and i really love it (even i can't afford it), i got curious about this laptop, and other stuff like PC's, Mac's (even i don't really like mac's), Setups, And much more... LinusTechTips is one of the first Tech YouTube Channel that i saw and love. even i can't afford stuff on the videos, i still love watching the content, and i learn A LOT, form Teachquicke Channel. few month later there's Computer Science class for 2 months in school, and i was God Like there. because i'm the smartest person in class, not only i know stuff, or products, or even market, i'm even smarter than my teacher, because i my country, there's this bunch of lessons, and some of them contains other-more-advance or "Next Level" materials, so if the teachers is a Physics teacher, the governor will slip a chemistry or whatever into the materials. Now, if someone in my class ask me something about tech i can just answer them easily and correctly (because they are not that smart at technology, and i know even more than they can imagine of Technology). so, that was my story, how about you? tell me your story and what motivate you to get into this whole Tech Community on the internet. -Thanks Linus, you made my life better, and more colorful, because now i'm a 16 bits color not just 2 bits. Other Great Tech youtubers (there's 96% Chance that you already know) 1) Dave Lee 2) Ed form Techsource 3) MKBHD 4) Austin & Friends 5) Bitwit 6) Jaystwocents 7) Paul's Hardware 8) Matthew moniz 9) Android authority & Much more (because if i have to type all of their names here, it would take 16 Hours)
  17. Do i need a sound card? does the sound card makes any significant different? what is the good sound card for around $30 - $50? And.... are you using a sound card? what do you think about it?
  18. Do you guys have any idea about the best intel coffee lake motherboard at different prices? if yes, i would like to know what do you guys think. - Thanks
  19. For productivity, a ultrawide, and a wide monitors, are insane. If, i wanted to do gaming and productivity, which GPU is the best for WQHD (Ultrawide 1440p), and regular 1080p gaming. Example: Using the 1440p ultrawide monitor for gaming, and 1080p monitor for reading the chat while streaming the game. (Note: i only need 60fps, and i only play CS:GO, Overwatch, dota2, and the most demending game is PUBG), and the coding is done by a secondary PC. So, which GPU is the best for my wallet for 60fps gaming at that res? A 1070? 1070 ti? Or maybe a 1080? Or even a 1080 ti (ps, the last one is too expensive for me to buy, so... yeah..)
  20. When i scroll (with trackpad) down in one note, it went to the bottom of the note/ text. so i cant read anything. can someone/ anyone help? please?
  21. Which one is better for productivity and some (not much) gaming? Razer Atheris or Logitech MX Anywhere 2s?
  22. Is Ryzen CPU's are really that bad for overwatch?
  23. i often heard about "if you want to edit video go with 7 Lineup" then i was thinking, is getting 7 Lineup for 1080p and 720p rendering is worth it? because i won't do any 4K Rendering.
  24. i'm building a system with: -8700/K or 8400/K or Ryzen..... -Still don't know motherboard -GTX 1070 -16GB RAM (32GB is too overkill for me) -2TB HDD -250GB Samsung 850 Evo SSD -600 watt PSU (For future proofing in case i want to upgrade my system in 3 or 4 years) -ect
