  1. Can I use SMD 5050s then? I see they have 4 pins. If no, then I'll probably get an arduino.
  2. Hello. I have an Asus TUF H370 Pro Gaming motherboard with a 4 pin (12V) RGB header. I want to power and sync a WS2812b LED Strip having a 3 pin (5V) connector. Is this possible? Are there any adapters available out there? If no, can I DIY it? Or, are there any long cheap LED strips for a 4 pin connector? Thank you. 3. It is? The +12V and +5V values before the crash looks okay. Or, is it, the PSU stops the power delivery or something?
  4. Hey there good people! Please read the whole post. System specs : Processor : Intel Core i5 8400 RAM : Corsair Vengeance 1x8GB 2400 Grachics card : Sapphire Nitro+ Radeon RX590 HDD : Hitachi 500GB 7200RPM SSD : Patriot Burst 240GB SATA PSU : Thermaltake Smart SE 630W I used to play Call of Duty Black Ops II and NFS Most wanted 2 without a dedicated graphics card which worked fine with no issues. After purchasing the new GPU, I loaded up GTA V and CS:GO. The PC freezes with a loud static sound on my headphones and persists unless I force shut down the system by holding down the power button. The screen goes black with no visual output(not a BSOD). My monitor goes into power saving mode and the LED starts blinking similar to when I put my PC to sleep. The GPU and CPU fans still function along with the lights. The keyboard and mouse stop taking input. The Caps Lock light doesn't turn on. It's a hard lock. This happens in a short time period of gameplay in GTA V and after playing an hour or more in CSGO. Played one mission in COD with the gpu. Seemed fine. But, then again, if it freezed after an hour or two in CSGO, I'm pretty sure it will if I play it longer. I've stress tested the GPU with Unigine Heaven 4.0 with varying results. It froze twice after I tried to quit the application. It didn't crash the other two times. I've ran memtest86 for memory and Intel Processor Diagnostic Tool for the CPU. Everything seems hunky dory. I've logged the +12V and +5V values of the mobo to check the stability of the PSU. It seems fine as well. The connections are solid inside the case. What could be the problem here?
  5. I just got the RX590 by Sapphire. It has a 8+6 pin connector. I just have a 6+2 pin connector (I guess). Also, the sapphire page says the 6 pin is optional. I'm confused. "1 x 8-pin + 1 x 6-pin (optional) AUX Power Connector" Can I connect my GPU by using the cables that I have? Or, do I have to buy one? 6. I'll be happy with the Zotac to be perfectly honest. It's just, I'm worried if all that heat is going to affect it's durability in the future.
  7. Damn. That's a good deal. I will upgrade my monitor soon. Guess I'll stick with 1070 ti. Thanks tho!
  8. I was eyeing the ACX one from EVGA (1070 ti FTW Ultra Silent). The ICX on (FTW2) costs higher but the performance is pretty identical overall. Yes to EVGA then?
  9. Yeah. I'm torn between this one and Zotac. The Zotac is cheaper and I can squeeze in some cables and adapters in the budget then. But looks like the cooler on the EVGA one is much better. I just want to know whether it'd be a bad choice to go with the Zotac(considering a poor engineered card for cooling) and will this matter in the long run?
  10. I stumbled upon this : https://www.gamersnexus.net/hwreviews/2981-zotac-1080ti-amp-extreme-review "This is a card which squanders its size advantage with poor design, resulting in a nearly 3-slot card which has thermal performance (as a whole) worse than 2-slot competitors, some at lower prices." - GameNexus This is a 1080 ti review but looks like they're using the same cooling solution in the 1070 ti card. Steve of GamerNexus explains it has pretty disappointing cooling performance(Especially the MOSFETs and VRMs run very hot)
  11. I'm in Bangladesh. But my cousin's gonna buy it from Canada. Budget is around 400 USD/530 CDN. Should I get this at 515 CDN or just get an EVGA FTW Ultra Silent by spending extra?
  12. I'm buying a GTX 1070 ti this week. Should I get the Amp Extreme? I've heard it has bad VRM cooling. Is it that bad? Should I steer clear of this card or buy it?
  13. ***Please read the whole post before replying*** Hello good people, I'm searching for a decent monitor under $200. Gaming? Yes, but I'll be doing entry-level color sensitive works as well. Hence, a fast monitor with good color production should be nice. 1080p with a 60 or 75hz refresh rate with a decent response time (?) I have researched a a little and got to know IPS beats TN panels in accurate color production whereas TN is faster than IPS. Some TN panels like the Asus VG245H seem to have decent colors when calibrated properly. So, TN or IPS? I have narrowed it down to two monitors but please feel free to drop any model name you want to recommend. Also, if you own one of the monitors mentioned below, please drop a short review. The two monitor : LG-24MP59G-P : https://www.amazon.com/LG-24MP59G-P-24-Inch-Monitor-FreeSync/dp/B06XDY3SJF Asus VG245H : https://www.amazon.com/24-inch-FreeSync-Monitor-VG245H-Response/dp/B01JGYM5H6 Much appreciated.
