  1. Anyone know how to enable TTP or TPM on a gigabyte Z390 auros pro wifi with a 8700k? I cant find anything in my bios and I updated it yesterday to see if it would be available in a newer bios version, I did find enable secure boot the options were custom or standard I tried both modes but still nothing seems to make a difference.
  2. so what you guys are saying is there is no easy solution and I am SOL xD basically im stuck with this laggy wifi experience
  3. I saddly cannot return the router as I bought it over a year ago, but I recently moved and my new ISP technician put in a generic router. So I Was wondering how can I connect my nicer one up and enjoy the benefits I paid for already.
  4. I bought an Asus 1500UHP but then the ISP guy said I couldn't use it, I noticed the router they installed had a port for the fiber cable but the Asus UHP doesn't it only has rj45 ports but previously I had used it hooked up to a second router/modem not sure what is was. So is there a way I can use it with my current router like piggy back it and allow my better router to provide network. The reason is I'm using a quest 2 wirelessy to play pcvr games so I'd like to haver the better router providing the network and therefore have a better network.
  5. So I have a quest 2 and would really like to play some seated games using my KB&M that is connected to my PC that my headset is streaming from, I want to play using the headset as a larger screen/more immersion. only issue is when I open up something like Dota 2 its in my headsaet as a bigscreen but my mouse doesn't show up only the controllers do and they tend to be buggy when I'm in Bigscreen and trying to control Dota, So I would like to know how could I use a KB&M to play games like mobas and RTS which need QWER and things and quick reaction times faster than using a hand controller to try walk and press keys.
  6. hmmmm okay well I guess I can try it and report back as to whether it helps I will try my old voltage settings with some added LLC and hope it boots x-x
  7. but why would I need to use LLC then if its to give more voltage, If I'm already over volting as LLC is so you don't have to over volt it, I just don't get why the manual OC voltage setting causes the system not to boot.
  8. okay so if I wanna hit 4.9Ghz on all core and in the past I used to have that with no LLC on my old Mobo, I had 4.9Ghz at 1.27Vcore so if I wanna try get back to that would I wanna increase the LLC or set a negative amount, so I set Vcore to 1.27 and then set LLC higher or lower? sorry I'm probably asking stupid questions but I dont know these settings too well as in the past I never had to mess with them.
  9. but would I need load line if I'm already over volting the CPU (my understanding for load line is it just overvolts to compensate for Vdroop) like I said when its set to Auto the Vcore according to CPUZ uses between 1.23-1.36 with 5.0ghz all core OC, but even if I set it to 1.38v on Vcore and set my CPU to run at 4.7Ghz all core it wont boot even with voltages set for higher than what the 5Ghz OC needed, it wont boot just BSOD, but if Vcore is set to auto I can boot at any speed and seem stable I used my pc for 24 hours on auto and monitored the voltages through gaming and at idle and things to see what it was reporting so that I could use that to set my manual overclock but then using the same amount as the board was reporting back to me it wont boot but if set to auto then it works fine, I'm wondering if something is faulty on this new board or if it could be a bios issue or if I have over looked some small setting like load line calibration, but I never increased the LLC as I figured I was already overvolting the cpu.
  10. I bought a new Gigabyte Z390 pro for my 8700k, previously I had a Asrock killer sli Z370 and had my cpu at 4.9 with 1.27v all cores, but since I swapped over to this board I cant seem to set the overclock back to what it was and infact no matter what I set my cpu ratio to and the voltage, It wont boot, I get BSOD even with 4.7 at 1.36v but If I set the board to auto on VCore it boots at any speed I've tried even up to 5.0ghz and CPU Z reports that at 5.0 Ghz it uses anywhere between 1.23-1.34v but if I try manually set the Vcore in the BIOS it wont boot, does anyone know what might be causing this?
  11. okay I didnt open the plug in the wall I just rewired the cable that came with my PSU, I cut the end off and attached a 3 pin and plugged it in and I've been randomly touching the components to see if anything shocks me and its been 24 hours and not one shock yet so I think its grounded and my issues are gone thanks so much for the help. I attached a picture of what the old cable looked download (1).jfif and I changed the end to one of these.images.jfif
  12. good news my plugs arrived and one was a 3 pin that fit in the socket so I rewired my PC plug to use the 3 pin plug and plugged it in, then I stroked my hand along the PSU and keyboard and water block and no shocks ... yet, I'm not yet convinced its fixed but it might be I just hope that in the wall itself that its also been wired up properly.
  13. well I wasnt concerned at first that you might be trying to get me killed but now I am, JK yeah I know what I'm doing is risky, but at the same time I have also taken the time to look further into this so I'm not totally following the help of any internet stranger just blindly, as before I made this post I searched for a good few days through forums and looked up how things work and I obviously appreciate all the advise and know none of this is 100% going to work or be safe, I don't expect that from anyone's advice just over the internet but I am still grateful for the advice and time you have given to helping me I have ordered a ground testing kit that I hope will fit the plugs in my apartment I have also ordered about 4 different types of plugs in hopes that one will fit the socket with a ground pin and maybe the sockets will be grounded already, hopefully one of them just fits and I can solve this issue without having to rewire or use a jankier method like grounding through plumbing haha, thank you again. I will update in a few days once the plugs are delivered as to if I solved the issue or not.
  14. okay so I could run a wire from some pipe in my bathroom or kitchen as long as its in contact with a metal pipe, I'm assuming a copper one preferably but then where do I attach the other end to? my pcs PSU or like the prongs on my pcs plug or where?
  15. I already looked into it but im trying to avoid making my land lord hate me or make my landlord charge me extra for having someone come and look at my wiring.
  16. I do obviously have access to water but there doesnt seem to be any exposed pipes in my apartment, my geysers have have exposed wires red, green and blue but then Id need to run a cable to my geyser from my pc plug point which sounds dodgy AF xD, I do appreciate all the advise you have given me but I feel like thats a little too janky for my liking so im now looking at the laws to see if theres a way that I can get my land lord to sort this out but without making her angry or having her charge me for an electrician because I know people can be bitches about petty things.
  17. I wouldn't touch the lightning rod in general.
  18. my issue is I cant attach a copper pipe to the line as where would I put the copper pipe if Im on the 20th floor of my building could I just leave the pipe on the ground in my apartment? that doesnt sound safe to me , my mobo is resting on the mobo box like I said do you think if I put the PSU on a rubber mat it would help it and then attach something like a anti static wrist band to my psu then connect it to a metal surface it would help ground the PSU?
  19. yeah I actually looked it up already but most people said RMA but I'm not currently in the country where I purchased it so I cant RMA till I'm back there so for now I can live with it but my PSU and water block shocking me I'm not comfortable with as the shocks actually hurt so it concerns me that it could be damaging my components which is why I'm trying to find a way to help ground it or insulate it.
  20. well my keyboard is a K70 lux and the body is aluminium so thats why it conducts so well I have read about the ground pipe theories already but my issue with that is that I'm on the 20th floor, I've also considered taking a 3 pin removing the third pin and adding a thin wire that can get into that 3rd hole to make contact with the box in there that's in theory should be grounded but I'm not sure if its safe to use a random wire as my ground pin, so I've come here hoping for some help, do you think with regards to the plastic bag that something like a zip lock bag would work? I'm desperate to try protect my components here x-x a 1080ti and 8700K popping on me would be the saddest thing ever especially since I'll probably never be able to replace them.
  21. I have already reached the conclusion that I need to probably have an electrician come and redo the wiring but I live in a apartment building on the 20th floor and I dont think my land lord will have someone rewire her new apartment because I tell her my pc is shocking me, although my pc itself isnt in a case its actually on the motherboard box as I dont have a case and the PSU is sitting next to it on a chair I know it sounds Janky but Ive seen people who do this and never have issues, also my PSU is fairly new, its a Superflower leadex 3 850w gold so I dont think its faulty and my mobo itself doesnt shock me if I touch it, just the PSU and the water block and the keyboard but it doesnt always shock me either some days nothing shocks me but more often than not my PSU seems to shock me, Ive also tested 2 other PSU's and both also shocked me when turned on, which makes me think that the PSU is most likely not faulty, also my keyboard doesnt shock me that much just once in a while and the water block shocked me for the first time today, which concerned me alot since its a large block of water attached to my CPU. basically the reason I started this post was to find out which 3 pin plug I could try use in my apartment, I see you said US type B is a ground plug that should be compatible with this socket. I guess Ill go look for one online and order it and hope I can use it, I have also already ordered a ground testing kit to check whether my plugs are actually grounded and wired properly. thank you for the response
  22. I have moved to Vietnam in the last few months and I have discovered something, the apartments here dont have 3 pin plugs they all have 2 pins and even the PC stores sell the PSU cables as 2 pins but my PSU and keyboard and AIO waterblock shocks me now if I touch them, so I'd like to know what I can do to help ground my pc better, I have attached a picture of what the plugs look like but I dont know what type of plug would fit in that other than a 2 pin but there seems to be a third hole but all the plugs in Nam only have 2 pins so how could I ground my pc with no 3rd pin or what plug could I buy that would be able to use that third hole?
  23. Basically I have 6 140mm fans they are all corsair ll140's and im struggling to find a case that has support for up to 6 140mm fans can you guys please suggest some cases.
  24. Mine doesn't have a DAC/Amp I got the one without that x-x. But I have a converter for 3.5mm I guess I'll pug it in there and test it. Thanks for the suggestion.
  25. Ive asked this before but I got no response, basically I have a Z370 Gaming 7 which apparently has a built in AMP or DAC on the mobo itself, I have a pair of Arctis steel series pro headset which uses a USB connection but can be converted to analog, basically Id like to know how can I use the motherboards superior sound quality, should I use the audio Jack or will the USB be better or does it not matter as the sound quality will be the same no matter what port I use.
