  1. Sorry for the somewhat offtopic but what's the song at the very beginning? Thanks.
  2. They need to build Microcenters in Canada, in-store prices are unbeatable.
  3. That CPU will bottleneck yes. I recommend getting an i3 (an I5 would be better but if you're low on cash...) and endure the lesser IGP (it's not that bad) while you farm some cash for that video card. It will be a much better value in the long run because an I3 or I5 will not bottleneck a 7950.
  4. I would go with something slightly better than V-LK but cheaper than Sabertooth: the V-PRO (P8Z77-V PRO).
  5. If you have a decent chip, you can get to 4.5ghz at about 1.3v, temps should be at about 60-65c under Prime95.
  6. Yes of course you need to get rid of that HP piece of crap :P those who disagree might not understand how bad proprietary systems are for case management and temps (along with cheaper hardware). If you do a lot of video editing/encoding, yes a 8320/8350 will have very good value but an i5 will be much better at pretty much anything else (specially gaming and single threading apps). An i7 is best of both worlds tho, hence his high price.
  7. As long as you don't overclock it, it's fine, no worries.
  8. Yes, It's a good setup, not much bottleneck here unless you play a game that uses more cores like 191x7 said.
  9. Go with that motherboard, it's a good one but don't expect super great overclocking, expect your 6300 to overclock at about ~4200mhz.
  10. Voltage is WAAAAAAAAAY too high lol, reduce that voltage ASAP! I have no idea why it's so high...looks like you'll have to reset the BIOS to default because something is wrong. Also, you should probably reseat the Heatsink/CPU, make sure you put a small amount of thermal compound. Might as well remove the dust too.
  11. The 3770k generally perform better clock to clock, has his multiplier unlocked and is on a less expensive platform (motherboard) so UNLESS you plan to get a 6 cores / 12 threads CPU in the future (and plan to fully use those cores/threads AKA not gaming) OR plan to use 3 or 4 video cards for any crazy reasons :P then go for it.
  12. Well since you have a 560ti, any upgrades will have terrible value imo, might as well wait for the 700 series and get a 760/770/780 instead.
  13. I really don't believe it's true if you look at a lot of benchmarks, that's just conspiracy :P driver conflicts is a possibility tho. As for your computer, your CPU is about twice stronger potentially, same thing with your graphic card. Keep in mind that dual monitors takes a lot of resources so if your friend is on one monitor and you on 2 monitor, expect games performance to be less than normal on your side.
  14. Highend is always overpriced, I suggest you stick with mid-high end stuff where the value of the products are much better.
