  1. Thanks! Little to no experience with BiOs - I'll give this one a try. Any reason the MOBO display ports wouldn't be outputting when the GPU is plugged in?
  2. Hello there, I've recently moved the guts of an M91P ThinkCentre into a larger case to support a normal (PCIE powered) sized GPU. It has: i5 2400 3.1gHz CPU This motherboard EVGA 750 Ti SC 8GB DDR3 HyperX Fury Ram I've upgraded the PSU to a 650W that I had laying around. When all the standard parts are moved to the new case (with new PSU) it works/boots fine. When I add the GPU (the only difference), the computer will turn on but not display anything from either the MOBO or GPU outputs. Is there something I need to enable in the BiOS, or OS in order to enable the PCIE slot? Is there too much power being drawn from the PCIE slot? Any help is appreciated! Thanks!
  3. I've gutted my M91P Thinkcentre and transferred it to a new case to give head way to a EVGA 750 Ti SC (PCIE Powered). Without the GPU the computer will boot perfectly fine, but when I slip the graphics card in, everything goes, but nothing displays to the monitor (this is with the DVI still plugged into the MOBO). Plugging the DVI into the GPU does not change the situation. Bonus: The CPU fan freaks out in its new case (high RPMs) even with the original case fan plugged in. Any way to troubleshoot? Thanks!
  4. I've seen 50/50 posts about it being able to power it or not but since the M91P I got was refurbed I don't doubt it isn't enough. I've got an old Corsair 650W I'm going to chuck in there tonight and see how that works. Thanks!
  5. I bought a Lenovo M91P as a base for a 60FPS gaming computer for a friend. I gutted it and chucked in my EVGA 750 Ti SC to see if it worked as I bought it off Craigslist and wanted to verify. The fan worked, but when I plugged in DVI/HDMI there was no output from the GPU (video worked once I reconnected to MOBO HDMI/DVI). I tried installing drivers for it but NVIDIA couldn't detect the hardware and wasn't able to install anything. Anybody have experience with PCIE GPUs not being a plug and play thing? The GPU does not show up in device manager. 1. Do I need to update the BIOS? 2. There was a video of someone disabling the MOBO graphics in device manager, restarting with HDMI plugged into GPU and it worked. Is this a reasonable solution? I'm moving all this over to a new case tonight. Just trying to troubleshoot ahead of time. Edit: Also, there was only a 240W PSU with the M91P/when I tried the GPU for the first time. Any chance that it would be enough power to run the GPU but not output display?
  6. Hi JDE - I recently purchased a refurbed M91P Thinkcentre (company still had it in the plastic from refurbishment) for a friend's budget gaming build. I stuck 8GB of Hyper X Fury 1600mHz DDR3 memory in there, and took out the rest of the RAM.

If I were to put in an EVGA GTX 750 Ti SC, would my 240W PSU be able to run it?

    Thanks!

  7. Unfortunately this is for a friend that isn't able to throw $20.00 bills around for upgrades and stuff - my main question is would it blow up? If it ran, would it run for a while?
  8. Is this in regards to the 'refurb' part or running a 750 Ti on this PSU going forward?
  9. Forgot to mention its the EVGA GTX 750 Ti SC version. So we're good to toss er' in and play? Is it a bad idea to run a PSU at close to max wattage for an extended time - would it be worth upgrading so as to not stress the PSU out? Or is that not how they work. Thanks for the quick reply!
  10. Hi All, Doing a fun little craigslist budget build for a friend. Bought a refurbed M91P Thinkcentre for $80.00 that has the below (https://www.cnet.com/products/lenovo-thinkcentre-m91p/specs/): 250 GB HD 8GB HyperFury X DDR3 1600mHz i5 2400 @ 3.1 Ghz 240w PSU My main concern is whether or not I need to upgrade from a 240W PSU to have this computer be able to support a EVGA GTX 750 Ti SC. Thanks in advanced!
  11. Just checked - no option to 'Roll Back Drivers' in properties under device manager for my GPU. It is greyed out. Is it possible there is only one driver for my GPU? 22.19.677.257 is the version I'm using. Thanks!
  12. Thanks! Ill give it a shot when I get home!
  13. HDMI! I read some where that it could be a loose connection, or a bad cable. It doesn't seem like it would be when it only happens while doing something 'graphically intense'. Never happens while only browsing internet.
