  1. Thanks for your reply Falcon, I have seen PFsense mentioned a lot in my research, would their be anything else you would recommend I forgot to mention that I also host a game sever from home.
  2. Good evening all, I've been doing a bit research as I am wanting to upgrade my home network and run cat 6 to various points in the house. Currently I am using a ASUS RT-AX86U and its fine apart from a few issues mainly wifi not reaching as far as I'd like and I'm sure my Samsung Q80T TV is allergic to it because it connects and soon as you turn the tv off you got to restart the router if you want to reconnect the TV. I currently has a PC/Server and NAS all with 2.5gb ethernet ports. I also have a bunch of devices which use wifi 6 and I currently have 1gb internet connection. I would eventually in time like to also set up a bunch of POE CCTV cameras. I have been weighting towards picking up the following: Dream Machine Pro USW-16-POE Few wireless access points undecided I've been doing a bit of reading and there seems to be a bit of mixed reviews and I'm asking my self is this going to last the next 10 years because I fully expect to have faster internet in the next 5 years and with all the ports only being 1gb with no 2.5gb ethernet and only access to 10gb via SFP. Is there a better route I can go for similar money?
  3. Monitors plugged into GPU, Is there anyway I can test if its the PSU?
  4. Hi having a bit of a werid one with my pc and I'm not 100% sure if its the psu or the gpu. PC system CPU: AMD 3950X GPU: MSI 2080 Super Mobo: MSI B450 Pro Carbon PSU: EVGA 750 Watt GQ 80+ Gold Hybrid Modular ATX Ram: 32gb Corsair Vengeance LPX 3200MHz Case: O11 Dynamic XL Recently I've been getting very random black creens where the PC reboots but the screens don't come back on and I need to fully restart the PC.. My PC works perfectly fine into I load up GTA V, I've only noticed the issue happen in this game and I tested Hell let loose without any isses and also managed to complete multiple time spy and time spy extreme benchmarks without any crashes. At begun happen after I moved my desk to the other side of the room, I didn't do a linus and drop my pc or anything, I also got a new nvidia update. I've since had another Nvidia update and the computer black screened on me again last night when playing GTA, I played Hell Let Loose prior without issues. I have managed to play multiple sessions of GTA without issue and I spend all day working on my pc without a single crash into randomly in this game. It seems to only happen with this game my inital thought where that my pc was possibly requiring more power then the PSU could provide but I'm not sure. Does anyone have any thoughts? GPU Temp doesn't get above 65 degrees
  5. Would love to see Linus do a flash back episode maybe talk about the videos they enjoyed creating the most and maybe the biggest headaches (whole room water cooling?) just a pure nostalgia episode, I'd like to think we have all been on the same journey with Linus
  6. Should probably mention my cpu is currnetly not overclocked either.
  7. Hey Kelvinhall, thanks for the reply! I cna normally stream ok, I’m just looking to get more in game fps is there any internal upgrade I can do would a pci ssd make any difference? Thanks
  8. Firstly Merry Christmas! This has been annoying me for a number of weeks as I just can’t decide to make a move or not. My current set up: i7 3770k with a msi gtx 980, i play a lot of arma 3 and record ocassioanlly stream my game play at same time. Im using an SSD also. Ive been toying with the idea of upgrading but looking at current bench marks and i dont think im going to gain much frames. Ive mainly been looking at going down the intel 8700k route but ive also been looking at a 1800x and 1900x im really not sure tho! what do use guys/gals suggest should i make the move and pick up the parts in the boxing day sales or should i look at upgrading other parts with my current rig? look forward to your replies.
