Any Linux distro, I can run in a VM fairly smoothly on this old laptop without it breaking a sweat. Windows? Pffft! Just trying to get it updated and the fan is blazing away with the CPU at 84C. >_<
And another thing; Windows is STILL updating!!! Why does it take so bloody long for a fresh install of Windows to update? I can install and have any Linux distro fully updated and ready to use in a VM in about 20 mins or so. Windows has been updating for the last 2 hours... It did have to update from 1803 to 1903, I give them that, it is a big update. BUT, to upgrade a major Linux distro like Ubuntu or Mint from one major version to the next in anywhere from 20-40mins. It should not take hourS!

So it actually didn't destroy itself. lol. It reverted to the previous state before the last update, so had to re-download and reinstall the 1903 update. >_<
It would save time to download the latest update version of Windows before installing, but still, it should take this long to update. I could install Mint 19 AND update it to the latest 19.2 in less time than it took just to install Windows to a point where it's usable.

TBH You could update two machines together and it will be faster than Windows Update hah!
