First hard drive failure. Not sure if all the data is lost yet, but Windows really struggles to access it. Will see if Linux can save the day... Of course, that is the drive that had my modded Skyrim on it. :/

    I vaguely remember hearing something about that years ago. I'll have to look it up. Doesn't sound like a good idea though...

    Its...one of those weird myths of a trick kinda like the thing linus did with microwaving a dead GPU to resolder it and bring it back to life

    From what I'm reading, it used to work, but doesn't on modern HDDs. This is a good excuse to get that homemade NAS built and running sooner than later...

    @App4that lol, yeah, none of that. Improved character models and customization, yes of course. But mostly visual, environmental and game-play mods, like realistic combat.
