Take a look at Acer Predator XB271HU IPS Gsync, I have been using this monitor for about one year now. No regrets and complaints

I have a dual monitor setup, a 28inch 4K 60hz and a 27 inch 1440p 165hz. From my sitting position, I don’t notice too much difference in terms of image quality between these two especially when I am gaming, I will watch most of my videos on the 4K one. But when it comes to gaming, the high refresh rate really makes a night and day difference. My rig is i7 8700k, and 1080ti ftw3, I barely hit 60 FPS in 4K for most of titles. If you are going for 4K 120hz, you will need a much beefier setup. If I were you, I will just get 1440p high refresh rate right now. It is quiet a experience. And do get a IPS and gsync, it is essential.

I own a xl2720z, 1440p 144hz freesync, I went for the TN panel for 1 ms response time. Then I upgrade my GPU to a 1080ti, I bought a Predator XB271HU 1440p 165hz Gsync monitor, it is a IPS panel with 4ms response time. To be honest, I never notice any difference between 1ms and 4ms. But the image quality on these two panels are drastically different. Personally, I will pick a IPS panel anyday for now.

I had a dual monitor setup for this, a 4K monitor for PS4 Pro, and a 165hz 1440p for PC. I am running on a 1080ti. Honestly if I could, I will play all my games on high refresh rate monitor.

So my last post I had terrible cable management, and I have always wanted a ultrawide monitor, working hard and saved for a while, finally bought an Alienware AW3418DW. In the mean time, I have also upgrade a few of my peripherals. Here are my new specs and some new pictures.
