  1. trust me, I've tried. this hasn't been done before in a Saab; or at least the few times it has been done the documentation of it has been between sparse and nonexistent
  2. because this is more of a technical wiring related question, not so much a question that has to do with changing a valve cover gasket.
  3. sorry, I might not be making sense. If the system detects a break in the system I'll loose all the airbags (dash, curtain, knees, etc.). I only want to disable what's necessary to disable which are the airbags located inside of the seat bolsters. Hence the need to trick the system into thinking the airbags are still present
  4. right, of course I'll have to disconnect the battery and remove the airbag. the issue is that I'll have an srs failure on my dash then, and all the other airbags will lose function. I only want to lose the seat airbags, not the entire system
  5. I'm currently working on putting custom seats in my Saab; Currently I'm struggling with figuring out how to "cancel" the seat airbag, and disable the seat's occupancy sensor. Now, I think I have an idea as to how I'd cancel the seat airbag, it seems that I'd want to connect a 3.3 ohm resistor to a 1 amp fuse. Here's a similar system made by someone else for their Subaru. Then I'd just cut the male connector and solder it to the connector. It should be fine to just set it and forget it then. The tricky part now, is disabling the seat's occupancy sensor. I found a different post here that says "If you want to completely deactivate the warning, you could just solder a diode to a male plug and be done with it. Just plug it in and tuck the dangling (unplugged) sensor cable under the seat.". But I just don't know what kind of diode I'd need, and I'm also unsure if that's really all it takes. I know this isn't an automotive forum by any means, but I thought you guys might have a better understanding of all of this than I would.
  6. I recently had astroneer gifted to me on the microsoft store, I'm trying to play it but every time i try to open it, it just opens a small black window with a small image of astroneer as if it's initializing and then just exits out no matter what.
  7. I'm looking to get a laptop by the time school starts but actually buying it now or soon, I'm debating between the Surface Book 2 (i5 8th gen, 8gb of RAM and 256gb ssd) or the Dell XPS 15 (i7 8750H, 16gb RAM, 1050ti and 512gb ssd) Now clearly spec wise it should be obvious to me but I'm planning on running programs like premiere pro, after effects and photoshop, I need something with an all day battery and I'm really interested in the functionality of a tablet and the surface pen. Thoughts? Ideas? I need to know what you guys can suggest me that'll last me a full school day and be able to run the programs I've talked about above..
  8. Yeah I'm currently using the CM MasterBox 5 Lite RGB and the cable management in it is more than lackluster, I'm looking into something more like a Be Quiet! case but idk
  9. The case itself has all the features I want but it also looks a bit dated, so I really don't know how to feel about it. But thank you for the suggestion!
  10. So I have a more than disgusting cable management job done with my pc and I'm looking into doing some upgrades, like getting a new mobo, graphics card liquid colling and cpu but that should be in another post. Anyway I need a new case that I can use for my new mobo (STRIX Crosshair VI Hero) and I need something that works really well for cable management even if you aren't too good with it, space for 2 hard drives and an SSD, full size graphics card (maybe 2) and good radiator support (I want to do either a full 360mm loop for both CPU and GPU, 120mm for CPU and 240mm for GPU or 240mm for CPU and 120mm for GPU, let me know what would be smartest because I've never built a loop before) And if the case could have good RGB like built into the case or just something where it's visible would be the best (Tempered glass panel and just visibility into case) Thank you for any suggestions, I'll probably make a post and video documenting the upgrading for my PC because I'm really interested in how it'll go
  11. I should clarify my hdd I’d be reformatting is my OS drive (C drive)
  12. So I have my hdd and I have windows 10, anyway through odd circumstances I now have a 256 gig ssd and now I want to insta windows 10 on the ssd but I don’t know how to go about it, can I just install it on the ssd and reformat the hdd and all will be well?
  13. So I own the steering wheel attached and I also own the 2.4ghz usb adapter for the wheel, I'm wondering if I can find a driver or some fix to make my games detect this wheel because it shows up in some games like BeamNG Drive but the wheel doesn't actually have any functionality. Any ideas?
  14. So I posted about me wanting new life for this V30 but the launcher is ass so can someone give me a guide to using a pixel OS on this phone. I need someone who knows specifically about this phone tho, I don't want a brick.
