  1. Keep up the good work, love the videos. Not posting much anymore with the decline in mining profitability, oh well, it was fun while it lasted. 30 new post while typing this, WOW.
  2. I'm already over 8,000kWh per month, a little more won't hurt.
  3. Did you mean to say folding on the cpus? There might not be any performance hit at all, the new algorithms aren't nearly as intensive as scrypt.
  4. Amen! I don't try to pretend that I'm helping anyone but myself by mining. I do plan to contribute though, when I actually can't make anything Gpu mining I'll give the folding team some help, lets say 15-20 cards for a month solid.
  5. Lol, only 5 gpus and you are already worried about power. Did you just suggest a steam engine?
  6. By touching I mean replying to the wealth of knowledge available in this thread. Sometimes you just have to let the clusterfucks evolve naturally just to see how bad they get.
  7. I know right? There isn't a stick long enough for me to not touch this thread with.
  8. Mining bitcoins is a completely different game. It's just trying to hit ROI before your asic is obsolete. GPU mining last much longer, I have cards at 17 months, with zero problems, still producing just as efficiently as new cards being produced.
  9. No, I spent a hell of a lot more then that, and they are all paid off. Not $1/month, $1/day, and three months to pay off isn't that bad.
  10. You sound like you know what it will take to make it work. As far as a build guide goes, I would buy used all the way. You can get the Asrock H81 PRO BTC on Ebay with a low processor for $60-70. A R9 280x goes for only around $170 too. Used power supplies aren't quite as plentiful but I've seen some EVGA 1300w go in the $160 range. Now back to fighting 8/6/2014 XDQ, 110@ .00046 = .05047350 BLC, 400@ .00001402 = .00559398 ELT, 920@ .000005 = .00458850 UMO, 40@ .0001 = .004 Total .06465598 Btc * $590 = $38.15 Usd This was from 23 GPUs, mostly 270s. When the cards themselves are only worth $100 or less, getting more then a dollar per card (yes even after power) is well worth it to me. This was set-n-forget, not necessarily the most profitable.
  11. So sorry, I'll correct what I said earlier. See that's the thing, you I can.
  12. And when I'm not "rude" we end up with threads like this. http://linustechtips.com/main/topic/193491-whats-the-best-way-to-mine-bitcoins-with-an-nvidia-graphics-card/
  13. What coins does he want to mine? Does he know what he is getting into as far as Bitcoin vs Altcoin mining? Do you guys even read the shit you post? I can point out everything wrong here if you would like, but frankly it's a waste of time. I could get better answers on Yahoo answers.
  14. I was waiting for you to show up. The rest goes to you.
  15. To be clear, nobody needs to spend a certain amount of money to be able to mine, that just related to my personal setup. You might as well switch to other algorithms or just run Folding@home as opposed to mining doge on GPUs. I can't even give doge away apparently LOL.
  16. Nice guide, but it's far to late. Scrypt mining on GPUs is over. I could get the same output from my 50 GPU farm as I can with a $750 asic. Mining itself is still alive and well, just not scrypt on GPU.
  17. 10,000 doge to the next 10 addresses posted, unless I don't like you.....
  18. Since nobody knows what an address is apparently. LWzcq1TfxagAwdYfzSXRVrQYyB6DLkK5wX
  19. Or you could be like my brother and take a stack of my money and "make it rain", but seriously it's your money you can go crazy lol.
  20. Spending a couple thousand on a folding rig isn't "investing", it's an expensive hobby. If you are going to buy some 290x's for folding by all means get them used. You can get some used for mining on Ebay for close to half new price.
