Hey all! i am extremely out of ideas here. My friend recently purchased a new gaming pc, but has has insanely bad luck. We have tried 3 new motherboards (both AMD and Intel), 2 new PSUs, 4 new CPUs, and have had no prevail. Currently, his new pc will run on the integrated AMD graphics, but when you install the GPU, the computer fails to post, will not open bios, boot drive select, or anything. It will just freeze on “Verifying DMI Pool Data.” Please! Help!!!!!!

Update: PSU does work, but odd burning smell coming from it. The problem was a bad cable, after I nearly electrocuted my self trying to plug it in. Any suggestions on the burning smell? Also pc does turn on now, if anyone would like to see the details!- 30 replies

The original power supply is still with it, the only reason for not using it being that the wires have melted. Do you think any helpful information might be included on there?- 30 replies

The problem is, last time I tried that, I ended up melting two wires. Is there anyway I could figure out what brand it is from what I currently have. If not, I have a new power supply coming in Tuesday. @Dabombinable @SupaKomputa- 30 replies

You think you could help me fix the rest of it up? And find things like the system connectors. It has a turbo button and connectors if that helps in anyway.- 30 replies
