  1. im thinking of painting my case blue... but idk how to do it. glad i found your build. do you mind posting step by step on how to paint the case like yours and what stuffs i should buy and use other than the paint itself...? cheerss...
  2. sweet!!! oh btw, a couple months ago i was looking for extension cables, and i was considering to ask for your service, but i dont live in the US / Europe and i hv shoestring budget. however i just would like to say that your sleeving job is pretty great!
  3. for method 1... this is how it would look if i plug it in. is it okay to fold / bend the cable like that...? if it's okay, i'll plug it in like that as soon as you reply... (*in case you missed it, it's first pc so... im just looking for confirmation, i don't want to do anything horribly wrong and ruined a $170 case heheh ) ===== @bbqsauce, is this the one you mean by 12~7v adapter? http://www.amazon.com/4Pin-3Pin-Molex-Adater-Cable/dp/B004CLJ76Q
  4. yes! if i go with method 2, which i did initially, im very afraid that i would bend the board usb3 pins... >_< alrighty thank you riptide and bbqsauce for everything... one last quick question, on my old entry-level bitfenix case, i plugged the stock front and rear case fans to the board directly. to sysfan 1 / 2 / 3. from there i can control the fan speed with MSI board software. with this board, since everything is powered from the molex, that means the fans will go at 12V full speed right? is there any way to make me able to control the fans speed? is there any stuff i can buy that will allow me to control the fan speed on h440...? (other than 525 fan controller hehe ) cheerssss
  5. pheww... glad to hear that. i see. so this is what fan extension looks like. i took it out of the case. thank you very much guys for helping me . again, i swear i google'd and youtube'd before building this btw,,, i'd like to ask about connecting the case usb 3 connector to the motherboard. i have major difficulties doing this. i've tried two methods. method 1 is putting it through the middle rubber grommet. due to the usb 3 positioning on my motherboard, i can't bend the case usb 3 cable gently. i can bend it with a lot of force, but i'm not sure whether i should do that or not. method number 2, is easier to plug it in, but impossible to remove. on method no.2 i re-route the usb3 case cable around the hard drive space. however, because the white steel next to the rubber grommet is a little slanted (bend outward)... so after i plugged it in, it stayed there and almost impossible to remove. i'm afraid if i remove it someday, i'll bend the board pins... (*i used method no.2 and since you guys are here, i removed it just now for picture, it took me this whole fan extension conversation just to remove the usb3 connector with method 2) my question is... is this because of my motherboard unfortunate usb3 position, or do you guys also have major difficulties plugging in your usb3 cable to your h440....?
  6. yes. the one attached to the molex is on fan1 on the fan hub (from the start ) i took off the thing, and here's the picture it's from fan6... so that's an extension...? what does it do..? is that just an extra that NZXT generously put there in case im installing 2nd exhaust fan?
  7. ill take picture of mine and will edit this post in a jiff you see on mine, it's already plugged from the start. maybe the local distributor already plugged it when they sticker-tape their warranty seal onto the case. that thing has 2 spike and 1 hole so i can't plug it in to my motherboard. here's another picture (see red arrow on picture below) i retraced the cable (because from the start everything has already cable tied very tightly from the get-go so i carefully retraced it. i found that that squared 2 spike 1 hole connector ends on the top left fan6...
  8. as this is my 1st build please bear with my stupid questions i swear i google'd but i couldn't find the answer... so.. what is a fan hub...? is that the spiky 4-pin system fan connectors on my motherboard..? the one labeled (on my msi board) sysfan 1 sysfan 2 sysfan 3 on my board..? is there where i should plug it..?
  9. where should i plug that in...? what does it do? and do i need to buy extra cable to plug that fan hub thing to my board...?
  10. yes to the usb 3 connector btw, what does the 3-pin plug next to the molex do...? should i plug it anywhere?
  11. hello guys... i just got my h440... this is my first pc but my second build, and i've read the manual book but there are 1 or two things that i still am not clear about (even after youtube-ing how to build a pc). my temporary case was bitfenix budget case a couple months ago, while waiting for h440 to be locally available... i'm building the h440 at the moment... i have some difficulties building it, and id like some help from you guys on building it.... >_< 1) How do you plug the usb 3 case connector to the motherboard? i have difficulty plugging in the case usb 3.0 connector. what do you guys do...? == do you run the usb 3 connector through the middle rubber grommet (the normal way), or do you route it around through the hard drive open space and not use the grommet? *the reason i asked is because i tried running it through the middle rubber grommet but i wasn't succesful on bending the usb 3 connector to connect to the board. so i tried run it around through the hard drive space. It succesfully plugged, but as you guys know the steel on the right side of the rubber grommets is slightly bend outward, now im having a lot of difficulties unplugging the usb 3 connector, and i just leave the usb 3 connector attached. the thing is... im worried if someday i need to unplug the usb 3 connector it'll be hard. so before the damage is done, how do you guys connect the usb 3 case connector to your motherboard...? 2) on the h440 1 thing i found different is that all the internal cable management has already been cable-tied from the get-go. and there are 2 plugs inside the case. the molex plug, and one other plug that is 3-pin (with 2 spike and 1 empty, picture below). what does this 3-pin plug next to the molex do...? should i plug it anywhere? 3) How to connect and control the fans? on a normal budget case, say my previous bitfenix shinob case,, i plugged the 3-pin front and back fans directly to the motherboard, labeled sysfan 1 & 2. on h440 what should i do? should i just connect the molex plug to my PSU molex cable and that's it...? does the 4 fans all already connected to the fanhub in the back...? (the cable ties is so tidy yet so messy i couldn't tell which one's which cables...) cheers, and forgive me for the dumb question i tried googling to no avail, i've read the manual book, and i'm particularly worried about the usb 3 connector... cheers and thank you again

okay this is dumb but i'd like to ask.. where do you put the led strip? is it surrounding the window like normal led strip... or did you hide it on the back side of the case but since its so bright the light push through...? sorry for the bad english, hope my question is clear enough btw great builds === oh also which sennheiser is that? is it hd558?
  13. where i live there's only 2 option for decent led kits, nzxt sleeved led kit, and bitfenix alchemy led kit, im getting the white one, since this is my first pc... i dont hv any idea how long in terms of brightness i actually need... between nzxt white led kit 1m vs nzxt white led kit 2m vs bitfenix alchemy 30cm vs bitfenix alchemy 60cm which ones do you guys recommend...? btw is there anybody who uses nzxt hue on their h440?
  14. so... does anybody know around what month will the z97 motherboard starts coming out? im thinking of upgrading to MSI Z87 MPower but would decide to not do it if the z97 board will come in less than a couple of months...
  15. what LED do you use? when my h440 arrive im using blue theme too heheh
