Astrum's Achievements

  1. normally every 2 years I upgrade either laptop or desktop. so usually each device lasts 4years... currently desktop got ryzen 3700 build. and laptop surfacepro5.. Haven't really had need to update laptop tho since i use it less and less... GPU still a 970 going to upgrade that this year to a 3070 once stock is figured out.
  2. i use carbonite to backup my pc offsite
  3. I live in Ontario Canada. and have no issue with weather for the hikvisions. Everything is pretty enclosed
  4. I use 3 Hikvision DS-2CD23 4MP stored on my synology and runs like charm. had them for maybe two years so far and no issues. Ive installed various hikvision installs at people houses. i think most on a single house was 15. the larger setups they've had to reboot the POEswitch once or twice a year to get a camera back up but im pretty sure it has to do with the switch power it outputs. Ive noticed they sometimes pull more power then manual says and that prob either pushes the single port poe wattage or the total wattage rated for switch gets maxed and a camera will disconnect. never really looked to much into it cus happens rarely and just do a remote switch reboot or if u know which port its connected to just a nice plug out and back in.
  5. gundamloot amazon prime netflix crunchyroll office365 google music prob more i tend to forget to cancel services and stop using them
  6. I use to do every 2 years for pc every 2 years for laptop offset of eachother so id have something new every year... but not anymore... pc is 4years old (swapped pc case for cosmetics added more storage but rest same)... and i've been on surface 4 since it came out. thinking about upgrading this year one of them but dont really feel like i have to. might just upgrade my 970gpu and call it a day
  7. i just use windows defender and once a month i maybe run free version of malwarebytes . i also dont torrent or download from anywhere i dont know...
  8. my dislike for apple mainly comes from hating itunes
