I scimmed the project log. You were mentioning idleing at 39C and 89-90C under load I thought zen3 throttles at 90C? Am I looking at the wrong temps? My idle temps are essentially almost water temperature. I worry about full load.

Did this work well for you? On my 5800x I just end up at 90°C at 30°C water temperature when I give it edc of 140 amps (which he does with the disabled setting).

Thanks I thought about leaving the sleeve hang over on both sides. Pull the compression rings over the sleeve first then the tubing and then cut the sleeve to size. Did you ever try that? Did you ever have leakage? Should it not compress more and seal tighter?

Tryed to disconnect one of the drives. Can't even get a single one to initialize.

I tryed to use a cloning tool in the hopes that it would make a bytecopy and overwrite sector 1. Didn't want to do it tho

I tryed secure erazing the drives. Still showing them as 1 disk. I am running out of options here

Yes I did. Twice (just tryed it again).I am still left with one volume. When I try to create a partition I get an error. "The format did not complete successfully". I am ok with using command line tools. This is just a nasty problem.

The old board is 500 miles away. Isn't that what the bootable disk utilities are using?

Hello everybody, I transplanted my 2x960 gb Raid 0 disks into my new Ryzen 5000 system. I don't care about any of the data. (I would never store anything else than steam games on a raid 0). Sadly I can't format the drives. They are showing up as one single volume in Disk Management. I can't format them without an error or get them usable. I tryed some bootable disk utilities without success. Has anybody here solved this exact problem and can point me in the right direction?

I will oc my ram and cpu and turn down the resolution again and see what happens. I also optimized network settings, if the nic is offloading to cpu that could delay rendering of new frames.

Thanks for chiming in. I am only GPU bottlenecked on 1440p in my 720p testing my cpu was at 40-50% load and my highest spikes on individual cpu cores were about 80%. If I was only GPU bottlenecked shouldn't I have higher fps on 1440x720 (720p).

I am between 250 and 350 fps right now on 1440p.

Thank you Chris, but I am not running at ultra. I am running competitive settings. I am having the same fps on 1280x720 as I do on 1560x1440 and none of my CPU cores is even close to a 100% peak load. What is holding me down?

Hello everybody, I am trying to get more fps in cs go to reduce total system latency and keep the 1% lows above the 240hz of my monitor. (I am aiming for 400-600 fps). Currently I am still running a gtx 970 (wounder why ...) with display port 1.2 which can't handle 1440p at 240hz. I will be upgrading my GPU, when prices somewhat normalize (I hope intels DGP2 or a crypto will help me out.) I am currently GPU limited at 1440p, if I test at 720p neither my GPU nor a single core of my i5-8600k are loaded fully. Could ram speed be the limiting factor?

There is a difference in Latency and some QDs it's not major. But I payed for it and would like to get the goods

It is a physical PCIe card.

I would like to connect a RTX 3080 using PCIe 4.0 8x and a Intel Optane Drive using at least PCIe 3.0 4x using a normal PCIe Slot (not M.2 Slot). Both have to be conencted directly to the CPU to get a real benefit from using Optane. Most motherboard vendors don't explicitly state this config as compatible. Do any of you know if this will work? If possible I would like to use one of the Aorus Mainboards to get rid of the fan with the EKWB waterblock. Cheers
