  1. There is only one way that they should fit in, you can actually see that there are more pints on one side than the other. Just match the lesser pin side with the correct slot and you should be good. If it snaps in, you did it correctly!
  2. Like a shortcut? Move pics to secondary drive into a folder, right click folder > create shortcut? Unless im not understanding you correctly
  3. Which is a very good and valid point -- But i'm not completely discounting steam reviews all together, but rather saying that you should also look at other reviews on other platforms too, and not just completely rely on one source. How many of those game breaking bug reviews stay on there after they have been patched, for example? Or another, lets say if a reviewers down vote a game because of "no mod support", essentially getting the game with a big overwhelmingly negative sticker on the right. How much would that effect the customer base that don't care for the feature? This debate can honestly continue for decades, hense why I revert to my original post -- take steam rev.... anything you see on the internet with a heavy grain of sodium (both positive and negative).
  4. I've always believed in taking steam reviews with a heavy, heavy, heavy grain of salt. People on there will negatively write a review for anything like my potato can't run this game, its the developers fault! I generally trust kotaku or metacritic http://www.metacritic.com/game/playstation-4/south-park-the-fractured-but-whole Although this is for the ps4 version, you can check the PC version on the same page. Oh another of my favorites is when people review early access / alpha titles because of bugs -- that always cracks me up.
  5. Huh? the reviews for SP FBW look pretty good, solid 8+ from most review sites.
  6. Build looks fine, you wont have much problems pushing 1440p gaming with that build. You can prob get a cheaper SSD though
  7. I'm at 5 years after grad, they still work!
  8. Have fun with your 1060! it's seriously an awesome card! On the behalf of nVidia fan-boys, I welcome you to the pascal family!
  9. I'm not much of a AMD kind of guy, so I would not be able to speak on behalf of any of their cards. However, If you're looking for cost / performance and with 1080p gaming, you can get a 1050ti for around 150 on sale. Otherwise your next best is either a used GTX 970, or a new 1060.
  10. What are you looking for exactly? I have a bunch of older CPU's that are in the used variety that I mark down pretty cheap. RAM, and HDD's as well.
  11. Yes -- I'd recommend you do it even if you had front I/O . It makes it THAT Much easier to access USB Drives, HD's and other medium that you need to plug in without having to bend over and look for a port.
  12. The GPU is heavily under powered - you might be able to pull off 320x 240? But maybe up that to a 1030, and that's a MAYBE
  13. Find your windows disk or usb. You will have to install it from scratch. you can get the media creation tool here https://www.microsoft.com/en-hk/software-download/windows10 you shouldn't do this though unless you feel you're comfortable enough.
  14. It should just say something along the lines of Nvdia Exp. can you screenshot it for me?
  15. Can you just CTRL + ALT + DEL, then remove the process? You should be able to restart the computer and resinstall afterwards
  16. you MIGHT be able to pull it off, but to even have that gtx 970, nvidia reccons you have at least 500w of power. It's simple math really, find what each unit you want consumes, and subtract it from your PSU. You generally want to have a little buffer room though, unless you like living on the edge. CPU - 60-120w GPU - 140w HD 30w each Fans 5-10w each EDIT: I don't know why I read it as you had a 450w PSU. yeah at 500w, you're fine.
  17. I usually look at 3 things Screen size RAM CPU. A screen / res that can do 1440p (with something bigger thant 5.5') I'd personally prefer to have at least 2GB of ram with (the more the better) Also, a CPU Built after Galaxy s6 Edge plus Exynos 7420 ( a 2.1GHz, 1.5GHz; Octa-Core, ) Some people prefer a battery the lasts really long, or a good camera. -- but it that's all personal preference.
  18. what about your resolution? The reason why I'm so set in ram is because it sounds like ram is filling up, CPU wants to dump more logic into the ram, Ram can't clear fast enough so system stutters, Ram clears, game runs normal till the next time it happens. Does this happen in windowed mode too? Maybe you should also bring up a resource monitor while running one of these games to see whats up so much stuff. I can blame alot of hardware on this, so you may have to do a little troubleshooting to solve the issue. I.e. could be a virus, bad HDD, OC'ed GPU hates you, maybe restore to stock btw just watched your videos, and I have to say that my heart goes out to you
  19. dont quote me on this, but it sounds like a RAM issue? Does it still happen when you destroy the settings to low?
  20. It seems like you're looking for a specific response like sue them or something. They didn't "scam" you, I wish you wouldn't automatically jump to using that word, it could be a mistake, or could have just been marketed incorrectly. For example, Dell owns Alienware. If someone sold you a dell gaming laptop, but ships you an alienware instead, it can still come from the same factory. The only thing you can do contact them. There is nothing anyone can say here, or anywhere else on the internet that will change that. Start all of your issues with communication and approach them one at a time.
  21. I also want to put my two cents in Shadowplay, however I really like the control you get from xsplit. Xsplit does have a free option with a watermark -- but OBS would be your next best bet.
  22. Anything with an i5 in it. Doesn't matter honestly esp because you're keeping a budget in mind.
  23. The cheapest way to build a gaming rig is to buy an older prebuilt PC, and slap a GPU in it, I've been recommending a 1050ti to pretty much everyone to the point where it should be in my signature. Esp, if you're okay with used parts, it should run you around $250, with your GPU being the most expensive.
  24. That's odd that you would get two readings, But I'd generally trust which ever program reads the temp sensor on the CPU directly. Depending on your mobo, your BIOS would tell you. I personally use speedfan when I'm feeling lazy. Now as for your temps, 80c on a CPU is pretty normal on a STOCK fan and heatsink. If you're really worried about it, It might be time to get a different one. To answer your other question, Yes, when you OC a CPU, you USUALLY get higher temps, which SHOULD heat up the heat sink. A cold heatsink with a HOT CPU means something inst doing it's job. Heat isn't transferring to the heatsink, so maybe you need to redo the thermal paste.
  25. If you have a nVidia GPU and it's a G Sync Compatible card, then you can take advantage of a G Sync Monitor. Free Sync only works with AMD cards. It's Their version of G Sync. So again do not buy a free sync monitor with your nVidia GPU Screen tearing generally doesn't happen with higher Hz monitors. We'd have to first talk about what causes screen tearing. We're eliminating screen tear by having a faster monitor that can keep up with how many frames your GPU will spit out. Free Sync and G Sync are similar -- but they're from the same tree.
