  1. The GPU I was looking at getting was an MSI GeForce GT 710 DirectX 12 GT 710 2GD3 LP 2GB 64-Bit DDR3 PCI Express 2.0 HDCP Ready Low Profile Video Card. The 2 GPU's I used before are ones I'll have to look up the name for, but one was a Palit GeForce 1GB card and the other was a EVGA 512MB card
  2. Yes, I've made sure that all parts were running correctly. The only problem was the GPU not posting. I want to make sure in buying a new one, I don't have to worry about that being the problem, not having to install any drivers because what's the point in that if it doesn't post
  3. Sys Specs are Motherboard: Gigabyte 970A-DS3P PSU - EVGA 500w 80 Plus Certified RAM - 4x2GB DDR3 Processor - AMD 3 Phenom II Case - DIYPC 06-WB This is a new computer, new mobo, new case. But I was having the same problem on my other computer as well (HP Pavilion P6337) and even on the mobo, the iGPU would not post which is why I upgraded to new
  4. Thank you for replying. I have done everything. Cleared the CMOS, unplugged everything from the motherboard, resituated everything, made sure GPU was sitting in the slot correctly and plugged in. I even used a different GPU that doesn't use power directly from the PSU but both of them won't work. To your question about my PSU, I'm running a 500w so I know it's receiving enough power
  5. Hello, I am getting a new Graphics Card after my last two don't seem to post anything on screen. (I went through all no-post troubleshooting techniques I could find) I've been searching PCPartPicker and I made sure my motherboard was the one compatible with the GPU, etc. My question is: Because my Motherboard doesn't have onboard graphics, will the card work right out the box? I can't install any drivers if nothing posts. PCPartPicker says it's a GPU compatible with my Motherboard.
  6. Hello, The other day my tablet dropped and the screen cracked and the image is damaged. I have spent the last few days making sure I'm about to buy the correct part and I always would rather have someone's help in case I need to buy more parts/ wrong part/ etc. I'm also attaching a picture for pinpointing anything I'm missing. Because the screen is cracked and image is broken, is all I need a digitizer? I've been confused on the interchangeability of the words like Digitizer and touch screen, and I want to make sure the Digitizer is both the touch screen and the screen I need. Please help. It's one thing to try and fix a computer, but phones/ tablets are a new challenge for me
  7. Tonight, I broke my Galaxy Tab4 after it slipped out of my pocket (basketball shorts for the nosey - and yes, I know that was the stupidest thing to do ;-; ) I have been searching the internet for nearly an hour to make sure I'm about to buy the right/all parts I need to fix it. The screen cracked and the image is damaged (I'm attaching a picture too for help.) From what I researched, I need: A digitizer and a new screen and that's all. Since the parts come with tools for the process too, so I might not need anything else. I want to fix it asap, so I don't want to spend time waiting for more parts (from personal past experiences with a my FREAKING COMPUTER THAT STILL ISN'T FIXED.) Please and thank you. Your help is really appreciated

  9. I know Bitcoin has been around for a while, and from what I've seen and heard, it's still a good investment. I've been slowly getting more and more interested in cyrptocurrency, and I just want to know as we head into 2018. - Links to articles will help, I love a good article. - I'm just learning it, so I'm sorry if I ask a stupid question in response to your responses
  10. An iGPU? I'm not too sure, I'll do a quick Google search and regarding the HDMI cable, I've tried it with two and same results.
  11. Yeah. I unplugged the whole PSU from the Mobo and no result and I am using a surge protector.
  12. Hello, I've been having some weird issues with my GPU not displaying anything on my moniter. I'll try and be as descriptive as possible regarding the fact just saying "It doesn't work" is very vague. I should go on by saying there's been multiple times this has happened, however a simple flip of my PSU switch and powering back on used to work. Not anymore. I've used two different GPU's, two different HDMI chords, and a VGA cable after noticing my normal PSU switch flip stopped working. The two GPU's spin and power up when the computer is turned on, however, no display. I've tried resetting the CMOS and taking out the CMOS battery, but that didn't work either. I also made sure no electricity was flowing through the computer when I did the procedure of clearing the CMOS. I got a new PSU not that long ago, however I was experiencing the same issue with my last PSU that failed due to a power surge. I feel like I'm staring right in the face of failure, but before I make the decision of calling it dead, is there ANY other troubleshooting techniques I can use? Or is my motherboard toast? Thank you. > The Alvorix Motherboard Full Specs (for those wanting the full specs) - https://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c02560084
  13. Thank you so much for replying! To answer your questions- Yes, I only have the one TV and my Mobo specs are: https://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c02560084
  14. Hello. I've been having trouble getting anything to display on my TV from my GPU. When I power it on, the GPU fan (and everything else on the Mobo) works perfectly fine, however nothing displays on screen (not even the BIOS.) I've read up and down Google trying to find answers, but to no avail. The only piece of information that I found was "It could be the CMOS" but even then, I have no idea where it's located on my Mobo. If this helps any too: My keyboard is a Razor Deathstalker and normally when powering the PC on, the computer will pass the boot menu and the keyboard will turn on - however, it hasn't been doing that since the problem started occurring. Please help and thank you!
  15. Have you ever had a hobby you just love to death, but your surroundings make it feel odd? Take me for example - I love doing CG. But I live in Missouri where the only thing people are into is agricultural ?

??? Trust me, if anything I'm a backseat driver. And yes, I use cycles and yes I use the clamp values, however the "Seed" value with the clock icon beside it is used for randomly distributing noise on an animation?

That makes sense, the seed value never seemed to help with static images.

Not sure if you would find this helpful, but you use blender, so it might be good information to know.
