  1. Looking at this Cooler Master V650. I'd like a fully modular unit and I don't mind waiting an extra week or so.
  2. That is way out of my price range, I've only got around $70 saved up right now.
  3. I'm slowly collecting money from mining zCash on my 1060 6gb and am thinking about upgrading my current pc in some way. I'm thinking about getting a better psu since it's listed as Tier 6 on this psu ranking list so almost another option would be an upgrade.
  4. Well I guess I'm upgrading my Thermaltake 700W psu soon. Likely when I get enough money from mining zCash so I could increase efficiency.
  5. SMT on or off, what's better gaming-wise for Ryzen?
  6. A bottleneck means that one component of your pc would be holding back thebes's potential of another. In your case, your cpu would not even able to keep up with your gpu causing a bottleneck.
  7. So I recently attempted to OC my Ryzen 5 1600 to around 3.6ghz with 1.375v and while booting up, it soon crashed and I received a blue screen saying "Video Scheduler Error". I went back into my BIOS and reset back to stock speeds and it still continues to crash. Can anyone help me out here? P.S. I've already asked in #tech-support on the official Discord but to no avail. P.P.S. System repair does not work either. Update: Tried to boot up again and got "System Service Exception"
  8. I just saw Linus's video about Free Geek and am interested in volunteering there to A) get volunteer hours for school and B) work with computers. The closest of their locations are about 3 hours away so 3 hours there, 3 hours back, plus volunteering for a few hours adds up to around 9-10ish hours per day. Not to mention gas prices either (as well as that I despise car rides). So, do any of you know about a volunteer tech shop like Free Geek that is nearby to New York? Specifically nearby to Poughkeepsie, NY.
  9. I just checked the mobo specs online (here if you want to look as well) and it says it has one PCIe 3.0 16x slot and one PCIe 2.0 16x slot. I'd assume the second one is the 2.0 one and I'd probably be losing some performance if I put it into there. I'll just leave it in the primary one then. I only wanted to put it into the other one for better cable management, but performance > cable management
  10. Question's in the title P.S. By secondary pcie slot, I mean the one further away from the cpu.
  11. Thanks so much! I just ordered it. I'm getting the one from Newegg that he posted, just ordered it a few mins ago.
  12. I would if I could afford it, I don't have the money rn. I'd wait until the prices become lower, but I and only have an old laptop to serve as a pc so I need memory asap. And since the compatibility issues have been fixed, I can go with a cheaper Hynix Die.
  13. This will (hopefully) be my last post regarding which ram sticks I should buy. I'm debating between this kit rated at 3000mhz with a latency of 15 and this kit rated at 3200mhz with a latency of 16. The former is $200, the latter is $215 and this will be for my Ryzen 5 1600 build.
  14. I've never overclocked anything, let alone use the BIOS, before, so I'll probably screw something up fittling with it
