  1. Rig name: MireilleCpu: i5 4690K Overclocked to 4.40GHzGpu: EVGA GTX 970 SC (None of my stable overclocks would work)Ram: 16GB DDR3 1600MHz
  2. hmm, interesting replies i like it. Its just as i expected regarding pixels and such. i think ill hold my money for now then and give it a couple years after i come back from studying over in Japan. who knows what'll be around come late 2017 so yeah. Thanks guys.
  3. I sit roughly about 60cm or 600mm if you will from my middle(main) monitor while gaming, further when just relaxing. Currently i'm using a 24' 1920x1080 as my main. I am eager to buy a 27' monitor at the moment for some reasons I won't bother listing. Currently looking at the BenQ XL2720Z as it's in my price range. The only thing i'm worried about is just how 1920x1080 looks on a bigger screen compared to 1440p. Like, from the distance i sit, would 1080p look like it is blown up, like would elements look a bit too big to be comfortable? Would like to hear from people that have some hands on experience with this or maybe could test it for me and tell me how it feels.
  4. Alright cool, thanks guys, just putting together a budget build for a friend. So much appreciated from both of us.
  5. I have browsed around and done everything to find out, and i'm convinced, but you can never be too sure. Does the i3-4170 really work on a H81 board without a bios updates (hypothetically speaking the BIOS are out of date maybe)? If I googled around correctly, i couldn't find anyone saying there was issues. It's no problem if this is incorrect. It is appreciated if there is a source that can be linked that confirms either works or not working correctly, i may have missed it along the road.
  6. I've had a look around at reviews and stuff about both the Autdio-Technica AT2020USB+ (£110 on Amazon) and the Rode NT-USB. (£118 on Amazon) Both seem pretty good for the price. I'm wondering what you guys think is worth getting between the two. Quite a few people i know use the AT2020USB+ and have very minor complaints about it, only really regarding control on the Mic itself. Also, if there is anything else out there of better quality or around the same quality for the same price or cheaper, I'll be glad to take suggestions.
  7. Was already planning on getting the PG27AQ in January if they do release around the ETA dates on Overclockers. Pretty hype, it means I can't get too much anime stuff sadly that month Excited to see reviews and tests of the PG27AQ/PG279Q/PG348Q when they're released. Hopefully they're as good as they look.
  8. I'm into all kinds of stuffs JRPGs, MMOs, Racing Games etc. so i play pretty much everything. PC is still my main source though. Consoles are mostly for Japan exclusive titles or exclusives in general
  9. A lot of love for the G502 i see. should of expected that I'll have to take a lot at my PC store to see if they have one out and i can hold and stuff
  10. That Asus PG27AQ is hella pretty, around what time should will it be released or available in the UK i would consider holding off for it. or rather i should say, is there any kind of indication to a release soon? Never mind, did some of the googling and i think im set on the PG27AQ. Just gonna wait for it, and hop on the band wagon asap. I would like the thank you guys for throwing some suggestions at me. Much appreciated.
  11. I am about ready to get a new mouse, my current DA is failing more and more everyday, given its been 4 or so years. I would like to stick to the DA line and go for the Chroma ver. but seeing Razer release the new Mamba TE, i'm curious on a few key things. First thing is, how do the two compare in the hand, for a palm grip, do they feel relatively the same or pretty similar or are they significantly different? Second, the weight, the Mamba TE on paper is a heavier mouse (which i like) but with hands on use is it fairly noticeable? Third, the side clicks on the scroll wheel, how easy is it to accidentally click them? and i guess for the last thing, Optical vs. Laser, opinons?
  12. That's a pretty sweet display, will go on my little list for now. Thanks for the suggestion. Also about the speakers thing, it would only be for when watching anime in bed, nothing major, i'll throw that in the post.
  13. What's up, my first post here on the wonderful LTT Forums. A few things before, I do game, but I'm not really bothered about 120/144hz as I'm just pretty casual. Then why 4K? because why not. So, my question today is that i have my eyes on the Asus PB287Q and Acer XB280HKb. Both look very appealing in their own way in which I will use them. I play consoles from time to time via capture card and with the PB287Q I could play via a splitter rather than through capture software, which I currently do and would do again with the XB280HKb. Then the XB280HKb has G-Sync and man I would like to try that. I also know about the LG 27MU67. The only things I need in the monitor of choice is for it to have pivot and to be 27 or 28 inches. Then features that would be nice but are not important (Don't have to be all together): IPS 10bit Colours Speakers (Only for when watching anime in bed) Low response time I'm probably missing out some stuff, but can't think of anything else. So we'll stick with this for now. Thanks in advance.
