  1. I bought some KRK Rokit 5's the other week and shortly after, bought a Focusrite Scarlett 2i4. The Scarlett is connected to my computer via USB, and the monitors are connected via RCA jacks. There is a very quite 'thumping' noise that persists when I first boot my PC, but this tends to disappear after 5-10 minutes, but I do have a noise that I can only describe as sounding a bit like coil whine that is emitted from both speakers. There is also a small 'scratching' noise when I move my mouse. Can anyone help me to alleviate these issues at all? Thank you in advance.
  2. My computer has been absolutely fine with video playback until last night. Whilst gaming and watching Netflix, Netflix appeared to enter a paused state even though the video showed that it should be playing. The screen froze and there was no audio. Thinking this was solely Netflix, I moved across to Youtube to find that I was unable to play any videos on those too. Restarting my PC allows me to watch videos on all browsers, but after a couple of hours the same fault arises and I'm unable to watch anything. Has anyone come across this before?
  3. Just to add, I thought that maybe the GPU was suffering. Once booted, the GPU is absolutely fine. I've run a couple of benchmarks and health checks and all seems a-ok.
  4. Hey all, After upgrading my CPU yesterday, my computer has been playing up slightly. After installation, my computer acknowledged that the CPU had been changed and booted into BIOS. I checked all the settings and everything seems okay. Upon exiting the BIOS and booting, I was greeted by a black screen and the lights on my keyboard turned off. I had to force shut-down the PC, which then booted the PC into safe mode, from there I selected my boot drive and it booted into windows. The same thing has happened just now - turning on my PC results in a black screen. The RGB in my machine is illuminated and you can hear that the PC is on, but the lights on my KB aren't illuminated. To get into Windows I have to force shut down my PC so that I can reach the BIOS and select my boot drive to boot from. My boot priority hasn't changed and show's the storage that contains my OS as the priority. I'm a bit stumped really!
  5. Hey all! I've recently decided to take the plunge into the high-end audio arena. I'd been contemplating buying the Sennheiser HD600's for a while, but decided to snag some Philips Fidelio X2's when I found some at a cracking price, and to slowly easy me into the Audiophile world. Is there any other equipment I can buy to enchance my experience? Would a DAC be beneficial to my listening experience at all? Can you offer any other tips?! Thank you in advance!
  6. Hi there! I recently bought an Xenyx 502 premium 5-input 2-bus mixer to use with my streaming set up. I've been using a virtual mixer after suffering from a few playback issues. I have a dedicated streaming PC that my Blue Yeti is connected to via USB, I also have a 3.5mm jack going from the Bllue Yeti to my gaming pc. As you have to set your output to Elgato Sound Capture on the gaming pc to capture your gameplay audio, I was unable to listen to the game audio through my headset. This is where the virtual mixer came into force and allowed me to record my gameplay audio and microphone input and also listen to the gameplay audio through my headset. With the Xenyx 502, how would I set up the device to reproduce the same effect? I may have been incredibly vague here, so feel free to throw some questions my way if you need me to elaborate on any aspects of my set up. Cheers!
  7. I don't have any issues with background noise on my Blue Yeti.
  8. Is this forum dying? No-one seems to reply anymore!
  9. Hey guys, I've recently built a dedicated streaming PC and have thrown an El Gato HD 60 Pro into it... I am having an issue though! Whenever I open the Capture Software, I am prompted to 'Connect your capture device to get started.' I have downloaded the El Gato drivers but the HD 60 Pro still doesn't show up in device manager; I have tried the El Gato in different PCIE slots; tried un-installing and re-installing the software on multiple occasions, all to no avail! Has anyone come across this issue before?
  10. RAM has throttled in price because of an international lack of RAM, with most of it being bought by the likes of Samsung and Apple for their devices (phones; TVs; laptops etc)
  11. Alternatively, download Magic Jelly Bean and write down your activation code.
  12. Hey guys, Over the next week I'm looking to start building a dedicated streaming PC. I've already started acquiring some parts, but would like some advice on others. My main build is an Intel rig with a GTX 1080TI, for diversity (and because the new MoBo I purchased has an AM4 socket) I'm looking to venture into the Ryzen processors - would a Ryzen 7 1800x be overkill for a streaming PC? The part's I've acquired so far are: ASUS B350F ATX Motherboard; MSI GeForce GTX 970 Gaming 4G GPU; CoolerMaster Masterbox 5; 250GB Samsung Evo 850 SSD; 3TB HDD. To buy over the next week: Corsair Vengeance LPX 8GB/16GB; NZXT Kraken X62 or x52; EVGA Supernova 550W; Ryzen 7 (or similar) CPU Are there any changes that you would make to this build? Is the CPU overkill and would I be better suited to buying a Ryzen 5 instead? Thanks in advance!
