  1. If you have no high regards towards high quality streaming and don't need super high bitrate or resolution, I recommend you just turn on your iGPU and use that to stream through GPU encoding through OBS. Try that and see how much of a performance hit you receive.
  2. I think that board has an elevated socket, like the Gigabyte 970A-D3P I used to have. Cryorig is a relatively new company, and it seems to lack support for elevated sockets. Best is to return and grab something else. Please correct me if I am wrong here. edit: I got it onto that board I mentioned by having a friend push it down and me screwing it in. Didn't damage the board (ultra-durable rated) but you better not try doing it. it fits perfectly on my P6t deluxe, but not another board my friend has (forgot what model, but 90% sure its elevated socket).
  3. Same here. Had a old celeron rig running W95 with some 128MB ram and I was using it in 2004. In 2006 I got a laptop with AMD Turion 64, running XP, which burned up and died a 4 years later. During this time I was also using my Dad's Pentium 4 rig. Got a x5660 and HD7970 2 years after they released, and never moved. Not in the near future either. Never had a console. Was on a flip phone for quite a while(almost 10 years, prepaid with 30 bucks a year), just got a smartphone 2 weeks ago.
  4. Hello all, I am a VERY infrequent cellular LTE user, so I have currently opted for prepaid from H2O. I am currently on a very cheap plan for 10 bucks a month. I realize I will be travelling soon, and I am looking for a plan that lets me take temporary unlimited for a month, as I will be needing some data. It doesn't matter to me if the speeds are throttled after a certain amount, just having some cellular data that doesn't run out is fine. I want to keep my number, if possible. I am travelling in the US,, and I have unlocked S7 Edge phone. Is there such a plan, or similar? Thanks
  5. they sell GPU coolers: here these generally work pretty well, and are pretty silent, but it is a 30-40 dollar investment you'll have to make, but it is worth it if you are keeping the card. I would check with ARctic to make sure that the cooler fits RX 580s though, as it is not in the listing
  6. quite a few. it works quite well on anything except some R9 290s and an overclocked post haswell chip or some of that sort
  7. think of it this way. more intake vs exhaust: higher internal pressure, less dust being forced into the maching more exhaust vs intake: lower internal pressure, more dust pulled into the machine through cracks cold air is dense, intake should be bottom and front. hot air is less dense, exhaust should be back/top traditionally we do not have side fans, but in the case that you do, only add them if they do not obstruct with your CPU cooler. then, you can do either intake and exhaust. most PCs only need 3 fans or so you don't need excessive fans. 2 intake and 1 exhaust. the PSU usually faces down, eliminates it in the computer heat exchange system. fan orientation: officially made fans had arrows pointing to which direction air flows on the sleeve of the fan
  8. go for it definitely. ryzen is a waste of time for single thread speed, but a much better multi thread option. Go for the i7 if you want a more balanced performance, and as mentioned, you dont need to rebuy ram
  9. lastly can you link the screen protector? there seem to be not case friendly and case friendly ones, and some with a skin with it..... what's the difference
  10. heh. was gonna ask anyways about a good combo of case + screen protector for the phone. clear case and hopefully get a compatible glass protector (case) or just a good solid case (if you can recommend a relatively thin one, all the better) or do you guys have any suggestions..... BTW I ordered myself a phone yesterday (S7E) thanks
  11. Alright just an afterthought how often does the boot looping problem found in the G5 actually occur. It seems like there is a slew of other minor problems that ar found scattered through the G5 stock. Because of that, I mean S7E should be the more worthwhile choice, though I'm pretty sad of leaving the wide angle lens. I guess it's better? I was so stuck between the two for a few weeks. Finally I found a good seller and wanted to settle this. thanks for the replies
  12. ok seems cool. I am buying from an amazon certified reseller that has a 90 back money back gaurentee if I dont like, not just warranty for breaking. Has good policy and ratings too. So I guess its worth the extra money for the S7E then?
  13. Hello, I was planning on getting a budge phone to use for the next two years or so. I have a budget of 350 USD or so. I was thinking of either a refurbished S7 edge (locked to ATT) or an unlocked LG G5 that does around for about a hundred less. I will be moving my existing H2o prepaid into the phone. In a phone I look for a good camera, good performance, and stability. Which one would be the better choice? With the LG G5 I get manufacturer's warranty, but there are a lot bad apples in the orchard(GPS, camera, and bootloop issues), I dont know if I want to risk it. So at the alst is it worth going for a S7 edge over a new LG G5 at this time of year? Thanks
