  1. I'll double check when I'm home from work. I can see where you're saying it looks loose, but can't tell if it's the angle of the picture or not. I didn't reconnect every single one when I was troubleshooting yesterday, but I did with a few and those could be the ones that look fully in. Though even if there were some that weren't in, the others should still receive power unless I'm missing something. I guess I'll find out if it's the controllers tomorrow when the new one arrives.
  2. I had connected it only once yesterday to the USB 2.0 port on the mobo with no luck and didn't try again. I'm fairly certain the hub is connected properly but I think since the molex pins got messed up and slide out when I try to connect it (picture in imgur album) that's probably it... It just seems unlikely that both controllers won't work especially when I disconnect power from the controller with the messed up molex.
  3. The fans are each 9 pin connections so they're only meant to go into the controller ports but I believe a USB 2.0 slot could also work. But considering I have seven fans total and only one USB 2.0 port left unfortunately.
  4. I'm at work so I can't check atm. But IIRC, these fans each have 9 pin connections so it can only connect either to the controller or a USB 2.0 port which I only have one available out of the two that come with it. Would it make sense that not a single fan turns on, even when the controller with the messed up molex pins isn't connected? It seems unlikely that both controllers would arrive bad but I could be wrong.
  5. Hey everyone, hoping someone could give me some insight on this. Currently in the process of building a new PC. Finished installing everything yesterday and got it to post. Unfortunately, aside from my radiator fans not a single one of my case fans turned on at all. No spinning, no rgb, nothing. I'm running 7 Thermaltake Riing RGB Premium fans with a x570 Crosshair VIII Hero MoBo. Three fans in the front, three on top, one on the back. All 120mm fans. Images linked at the end of the post.Because I only just found out about and ordered the Thermaltake fan controller with 9 ports, I'm trying to set these two controllers up but I feel like maybe I'm just missing something. The manual doesn't make it super clear how it's supposed to be set up but I'll attach pictures of how I have it connected. I'm connecting them together via a bridge cable included. Now what I suspect could be the culprit is the fact that each of these controllers is powered via a molex connector. The issue is, when I was first connecting one of those molex, the pins got pushed out of its socket and I can't get it to cleanly enter the other end of the connection without the molex pins being forced out. The thing is though even when I disconnected that molex (each controllers needs to be powered separately) and left only the other controller plugged in, which I had no issues connecting, still none of the fans would get power at all. This is why I ordered the more recent 9 port hub which is also powered by SATA.Apologies if this post is all over the place or not clear enough, quickly writing this up in the middle of work. If someone has a question about anything I won't hesitate to clarify. Thank you for the assistance guys.Images link: https://imgur.com/a/qbBOrCW

  7. I'll send some screenshots after school!
  8. So I have made two different builds and I am a bit stuck on what to choose. I don't have to worry about peripherals for now since I have that covered. I would like to play at 1440p but honestly 1080p is fine. Build #1: http://pcpartpicker.com/user/TrafalgarLaw/saved/n626Mp Build #2: http://pcpartpicker.com/user/TrafalgarLaw/saved/cYKscf
  9. @vern021 If i have to be honest I would have to say light
  10. @Bubblewhale budget- 1800 location- us peripherals- not needed at the moment
  11. I'm planning to build my first computer this year but I want to keep the budget at $1800. Can someone help me build a BEAST of a rig but keep it at 1800? I am mainly using this for gaming and it would be good if from time to time i would be able to do rendering on photoshop and whatnot. Please help, but don't worry about peripherals right now. Ill take care of that. The main point is I want this build to look sexy and also be a beast of a PC
  12. http://pcpartpicker.com/p/RZRFCJ there you go sorry I'm kind of a noob at forum pages but i just added periphials and all that, before that the computer was $1500 in just parts BUT since before this I was only using tigerdirect, newegg, and amazon that is why it was a bit more money and that is what made it out to be $1800. Also I will decide if i should go with the rog monitor. I saw Linus's review on it and it looked amazing the only thing is, it costs $800 o-o

  14. @vern021 I would like to keep this amd unless one of you can REALLY convince me to go intel, Also amd is $200 cheaper so i can put that money into other things like the GPU or MoBo
