Would these be better than these, considering that they have interior velour as well, while the second ones have PU leather on the inside? No, I use aggregate search to find the cheapest components. The only possible way to make this build cheaper is to order from a foreign store in a country where the government steals the least, and then by some miracle avoid the cost of shipment, import fees and taxes. It would probably cost even more then.

Everything you see on that list is from a single store, so location is not relevant. This is the cheapest store there is. In my country this build would cost 1500USD, 25% of that is stolen by the state through the banditry of taxation.

You are right, I don't and never will need a single thing you mentioned. And gaming for me is secondary, I mostly need high-end cpu like Ryzen 1700 for Maya and AfterAffects. Even in that scenario Threadripper investment seems like a folly.

I don't think that Threadripper 1900x will be worthwhile over Ryzen 1700: no point in SLI feature, it was always a dysfunctional, poorly supported, silly feature no point in 8 DIMM slots no point in extended lanes since there is no point in SLI no point in quad channel over dual channels since tests actually show lower performance with quad channel There is nothing to be gained here, except losing money.

Also, 8 DIMM slots seems rather excessive and unnecessary.
