    T shirt design

Watching the last WAN show, Friday the 16th, Linus was wearing this great T-shirt and I want one ..... or 2. I checked out the "official store" managed by designbyhumans.com for LTT and it wasn't available. I contacted DBH and they were cool, said it looked like a shirt from the old store. They said they'd, well they said they might bring it up with Linus or whomever and see if it was a design LTT wanted to go with. So I'm here pleading to whomever makes these decisions to go ahead with adding this design. I can't wear my WAN show T-shirt or my Linus tech tips t-shirt at work because my boss says it looks too much like an advertisement. He didn't like the bright orange. Before you all say something, my company is pretty cool and they will allow subtle t-shirts like maybe an alma mater t-shirt with a small logo of the universities name, etc on the left breast or lika an old EVGA T-shirt I have that's a lot like the one I want. It's black with a very subtle, almost ghost like printing of EVGA on it. So they're not totally uncool or anything. I showed him the screen shot of the shirt Linus was wearing and he said it would be ok. So, come on man add that design to your merch store and I'll get a few.
  2. Thanks folks, appreciate the education, and information. Best damned Tech forum in the world.
  3. I was watching a Newegg video about this SSD and the Intel guy said this card had 18 channels. I'm a little fuzzy on MB architecture Does anyone know if those 18 channels equals 18 PCIe lanes? I'm running an SLI config now using 32 PCIe lanes. Will I have to bail on the SLI set-up if I go with this card as my only boot and storage drive? 4. Just get a honda. Seriously, they do not break down, will run forever with regular oil changes, etc.. Nobody steals them so the insurance is really great and the body styles don't change much so a bit of polish keeps the car looking up to date. Best car I ever owned.

  6. Very good, thanks guys.
  7. So I just built a new H2O rig and did a small over clock. Initially CPU Z, EVGA's E LEET and AIDA's monitoring/ reporting showed the correct o-clock values, 4.0 Ghz on the CPU and all but very soon, like less than 30 sec they all changed to something like 1263 Mhz. So, you know I go back into the bios and everything looks good, 4.0 Ghz just like it should. Come back out, check CPU Z again and sure enough it switches in almost no time. Very weird. Just wondering if this is normal? I got the 5960X up to almost 4.9 Ghz but with a voltage at 1.39 - 41 I just knew it would burn, even with water, so I backed it down. 8. Happy New Year Lets start the New Year off right with a win from Intel and Linustechtips yaaaaaay!!
  9. Thank you Intel, a very generous gift giveaway. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year
  10. Thanks all. Thanks for building my confidence with the 45's and the 90's, and I do have a D5 pump. I'm feeling better and better about this build.
  11. Hi all, Anyone tried out these fittings? I could use the 45* fittings just to lessen the strain on the tubing/fittings in a few places in my loop, and I'm looking at two models of quick disconnects, one from Koolance and one from Swiftech's. I was thinking about using those before and after the GPU blocks. Let me just throw this out there too...I'm new to water cooling, I've done some heavy homework on this stuff, both through videos and also from reading you guys here on this forum, (thanks), and what I've read and watched so far it kinda looks like 90* bends, (fittings), are probably not the best idea in a water loop.....right? Two spots would look way better with them in my loop but I wouldn't want to compromise performance over aesthetics. What do you guys think? Love to hear what you've seen or even experienced with 90* bends in your loop.
  12. MAN!! I do not need to hear this. I'm in the final stages of building my first loop and you're talking about a major leak...LOLs. So I watched this guys you tube video where he set up and powered his loop for leak testing with out installing any computer components. I think I'll try that first. This is the craziest hobby thing I've ever tried.
  13. I'm ready for an upgrade so a Zotac GTX980 AMP would look pretty good in my Phantek. Linus you rule!!
  14. Thanks all, it's always good to have some experienced folks to lean on when you need it. Guess I'll buy some fittings today.
