RGBLEDCPU's Achievements

  1. I follow a 100+ channels on YouTube (only about a dozen of them make daily videos), but the only channel I encountered this 360p issue (where the video gets stuck in 360p for a while) is LTT. I have never seen this with any other channel, small one or big one.
  2. I remember when I installed Vista back in the day on my ThinkPad (Intel Core 2 Duo P8400, 4 GB RAM) and the led that showed hard drive activity was constantly blinking. I went back after a week to Linux and KDE (I don't remember which distro exactly), because it was quite slow. But that was nothing compared to Windows ME. That thing was much slower than Windows 98 SE or 2000, and it was bluescreening all the time.
  3. This computer has the same amount of RAM and SSD (at the end) as the new MacBook Air.
  4. With the rising GPU prices, this card could become a "budget gaming card" soon
  5. I am in the market for a phone (my iPhone's battery is swelling), and I looked at the U11+. I have two problems with the phone: no headphone jack and the price will be around $900 (according to the only source I have found). That is significantly more expensive than the 5t.
  6. I still find these creepy. I even find my iPhone with disabled Siri a bit discomforting.
  7. I comment here in case someone finds this topic. Finally I found the best configuration for my hardware: * I reverted the top radiator to be an exhaust. * I moved the front two 140mm fans to be as high as possible. This way there's no airflow for my hard drives, but both the radiator and the video card gets more air. * I changed my GPU anti-sag solution to improve airflow. * I sealed off the holes on the top radiator rail with an RGB strip, some nearby wires and zip-ties. It's not a perfect solution, but it blocks most of the air that would come back to the case. Result: -15C on the CPU, -10 on the GPU, while the 1200 RPM fans only spin around ~900 RPM.
  8. Pentium Gold sounds like a name of a pornstar.
  9. Unlike Ryzen, Coffee Lake has no dedicated lanes for M.2 I hope that eventually the Intel mainstream gets more PCIe lanes. But the competition is heating up, and that's awesome
  10. Do you have any source on this? It seems that this is smaller than the USB 2 header. Based on the manual, the monoblock only needs the RGB header.
  11. Hi Today I was cleaning my computer, when I noticed a 9-pin header in the middle of my motherboard, see image: It is just above the top PCIe x16 slot. This header is not documented in the manual, and I haven't really found any mention it online. Do you have any idea what is it?
  12. EK has a block made for Threadripper. However I understand why the custom loop solution was left out (just the radiator selection alone... 120, 240, 280, 360; all of them in different thicknesses). What I missed really is the Noctua D15.
  13. I plan to replace my Kelvin when the 2y warranty expires, so this seems to be a great excuse to "upgrade" the case as well
  14. Hi, I recently built my computer, and after overclocking I get a bit high temps. Relevant hw: Asus Crosshair VI Hero Ryzen 1800X (+0.02250V, LLC1, 3.9 GHz) ASUS Strix 1070 ("OC" preset in GPUTweak) Fractal Design Kelvin S36 (top) 2x Fractal Design Venturi static pressure 14cm (front, intake) 1x Phanteks included 14cm case fan (back, exhaust) What happens is that if I run prime95 and furmark, the CPU temperature stabilizes a little below 90C (ambient: 25C). Under realistic circumstances either the GPU (games, CUDA) or the CPU (virtual machine, compiling, running tests) gets load, and the CPU temps stay around 70-75C. At the moment I have the radiator fans set up as an intakes (less dust), but if they are exhausts, I get almost the same temps, with the top of the case heating up. I can't move the radiator to the front, because the two HDD slots are occupied with 3.5" HDDs. Fan curves don't really play a role, because the motherboard gives full power to all fans above 70C. My suspicion is that no matter how I set up the radiator, it can't move enough air, so the hot air starts to circulate inside the case... Are these results "normal"? I expected better temps with a 360mm radiator.
  15. With the 1403 BIOS version (AGESA 1.0.0.6), and the D.O.C.P. standard profile I was able to hit 2933 MT/s CL14 1T, with the BCLK set to 100. The UEFI sets the speed to 3200 when I select the D.O.C.P. standard, but if I leave it then the system won't post, and the motherboard resets the RAM settings to default (2133 MT/s CL15).
