  1. My friends gtx 1080ti evga hybrid ftw 3 card is super binned clocking up to 2100mhz with 35C idle and 42C load. I have an asus strix 1080ti and I can get 2000mhz with about 40C idle and 62C under load (vertically mounted)
  2. My card is supposed to be running at 1405mhz instead of this 1386mhz. and the voltage already seems normal, so I’m definitely returning this card. From a review I saw online, someone had this card at 73C out of the box so it’s RMA time for me
  3. I just got this card from newegg, I don’t want to immediately void my warranty
  4. I just bought an xfx gts black core rx 580 8gb and when I play games on it, it runs around 82C, but over time spikes to 87C. And its running 1386mhz instead of the advertized 1405mhz. Do I ask for a replacement card with these temps?
  5. I used to have these same exact concerns. I ran a 550w evga psu with my gtx 1060 and it was fine. Checked with a kill-a-watt meter and I was barely pulling 300w from the wall.
  6. Ryzen 5 2400G $170, a b350 motherboard $60-80, psu $25-40, 8gb memory $80-90, 60gb ssd $30-50, 1tb hdd $50-60.
  7. Wait for prices to drop, not the next gen. There's not gonna be a card that surpasses the 1080 ti performance as much as it did to the 1080 and still fall into a price underneath the titan lineup. Sure it will be better, but we have seen the launch of the best titan cards barely surpassing the 1080ti. However, if they make a gtx 1080ti equivalent with less power draw next gen, then get that if it is reasonably close to the $700-800 price range Gtx 1080ti for 1440p 144hz is great on most games I play on ultra detail. Games like watch dogs 2 and ghost recon wild lands won't really hit above 120fps all the time, but for the most part, my other games like gta, rainbow 6 siege, pubg, destiny 2 reach my 144fps.
  8. First, i5-7400k? I think you mean 7600k or 7400. Second, it depends on your resolution and what games you play. If you turn on a FRAPS monitor, you can check your CPU/GPU utilization in games, and if you aren't hitting your targeted frame rate, and your gpu usage is under 100 or 99% while your CPU usage is around 90-100%, then you might be CPU bottlenecked.
  9. You'll need to manually stop the oculus runtime service in your computer. You'll do this through a command prompt command that should let you turn it off and on. Look up this error on oculus' website and there should be a full detailed description on how to do this.
  10. Ya I switched to a Logitech g703 for $70 and never looked back. Best purchase out of my whole setup.
  11. I've had issues where the mouse controls itself randomly, and gets bugged out by the software consistently, but not this.
  12. Have you tried re-seating your ram? Have you changed the two locations and tried booting again? This normally fixes it.
  13. If you really want to upgrade something right now, then upgrade your CPU. There are great deals on CPU/motherboard combos right now, and the graphics card market is awful
  14. Coffee lake will add more CPUs into their lineup later this year. If he wants to get that, there is actually a sweet deal on an i5-8600k and a gigabyte gaming 5 z370 motherboard for like $349 on Newegg. At least $150 off.
