  1. Okay I'll be using Photoshop tomorow. I'll give that a shot and report back what I find.
  2. Ive done that and temps are in check. Im thinkin it's the ram because it seems to occur more when I use Photoshop and Premier.
  3. Yea Ive tested the SSDs and found nothing. That said, its not as easy to tell with SSDs given speed and no moving parts, lol
  4. Protection is on and takes up well under 10GBs
  5. Hi guys, So i ahve a baffling one. About 3 years ago I built my own computer. Here are the specs: Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-Z77x-UD3H (shows code 04) http://www.gigabyte.us/Motherboard/GA-Z77X-UD3H-rev-11#ov CPU: Intel 3770K (LGA 1151, I believe) (water cooled) PSU: 850W Thermaltake GPU: Nvidia Geforce 770 FE RAM: 32GB DDR3 DIMM (4x 8GB sticks) HD: 1TB SSD (2x 500GB Samsung 850 EVOs)(1 is dedicated to windows files and the other is dedicated to gaming) So, every so often (after heavy or long use) the computer seems to lag. (The computer hangs for 1-2 seconds then processes the command at that time) This has led to closing some programs when I intended to minimize them for example. There is a known issue with the USB 3.0 ports. If I attempt to use them all at once, the board will post and run but I will have problems using various peripherals. I do not need all of the ports so I don't use them. Until maybe 2 weeks ago the computer was running fine. This problems occurs after using programs Like Adobe Premier and Photoshop, which I use all the time for content on my YouTube channel. Adobe products are installed on the C:\ drive with other Windows files. The problem persists in games too (which are installed on the other SSD). Ive tested all the equipment except the RAM (which I will do tonight) and it checks out fine. There are no viruses or missing/corrupt windows files and the computer is cleaned regularly. The board has the latest BIOS and all drivers are updated with no known issues. So...what are your thoughts?
  6. That sounds like a corrupt windows file or malware/virus issue. I would run a malware/virus scan first then open up a admin level command prompt and run sfc /scannow to see if any necessary Windows files are missing corrupt.
  7. I went with an Astro A50. It's a bit more expensive than the two you mentioned but well worth it. I actually reviewed it here
  8. Have you considered spacing the parts out? If you're willing to wait some, you'd get that $3500 PC.
  9. This is persoanl preference really. I felt the same as what you describe when I was deciding. I like to move around a bit when I game or chat online so in the end I chose wireless and love it.

Couple snippits from the CoC. Not entirely sure what did make jayz an industry affiliate... But sorry to say its probably not happening for a beginning youtube channel :/

  11. I run a growing YouTube Channel, I have 133 subscribers and do videos 3x/week. How do I become a "Industry Affiliate"?
  12. That's true. There is a definite difference in the incomes of tech tubers like me and you because we seek a niche market when you compare it to, say, PhilipDefranco or even Boogie2988 because we are not seeking what they are seeking in many ways. I'll be honest here, most tech tuber are simply rip-offs of you. I know that you probably get this a lot but i was wondering ..... If you could go back and do it over again, what if anything would you do differently? Do you have any words of advice for growing tech tubers like myself?
  13. Based on what you've said it *sounds* like a dirty or faulty AIO cooler. I agree with "weed" above that you should clean it. Also check to see if the coolant is actually moving through the pipes. You should honestly be able ot hear it if you listen close enough. Oh and while this probably isn't the case, I have seen AIO coolers that require you to add coolant yourself. Check the Users manual to see if that is the case. If so, you can get some pretty cheap on Amazon and use distilled water in the meantime. You can get distilled water in the water isle of your local market. It costs like $1 and works wonders.
  14. Hmmm... This is a good one. Couple of questions: 1) When did you start noticing the spikes? 2) Did you change something then notice the spikes or did it just happen?
