  1. Currently the price is $44 (converted) difference in buying a new 2x16GB than going for additional 2x8GB sticks. Plus, since Crucial stopped making these, the existing stock is on sale, so I guess I will buy 2 more sticks, test them and return them within the return period if they didn't work. Thanks!
  2. I have 2x 8GB Crucial Ballitstix 3200 MHz CL16 DDR4 (Micron Rev. E) currently installed in Asus TUF B660M-Plus D4 paired with 12400F. I am thinking of adding 2 more of exact same sticks to make it 4x8GB. Some say 12400F IMC is weak and it may cause issues with 4 sticks. The mobo I have supports RAM OC. I am not into overclocking, but if I face issues with 4 sticks, can I tweak them a little and make it work? These are the settings available in my BIOS. Are these enough for my requirement? Should I look for any other setting's availability?
  3. Thanks, I am trying to overclock RAM a bit and most of the guides show make sure you are on latest stable BIOS.
  4. Currently I have 12400F + Asus TUF B660M-PLus D4 motherboard at BIOS version 1620. The BIOS versions 2014 and above seems to support 13th gen CPUs. Though I am not going to upgrade processor any soon, should I still update my BIOS? There is warning highlighted in the image which I do not understand. Do they mean 12400F will have performance/bugs if I update to new BIOS?
  5. Intel Core i5-12400F NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 Ti - PSU Calculator - Build hmSCpr (outervision.com) PSU is Adata XPG 750W Core Reactor I just need to know whether my system will shutdown or not when the main power goes off during gaming. If main power goes off in my house, I will shutdown or stop playing games on it.
  6. XPG core reactor are also Tier A units. RMx series is $24 more here for same wattage.
  7. What, the 3070Ti + 12400F setup in outervision calculator shows more than 550W. How CX550 can withstand? Intel Core i5-12400F NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 Ti - PSU Calculator - Build hmSCpr (outervision.com)
  8. My current system is 12400F + RTX 3050. RRX 3050 is sold and I am upgrading to Inno3D RTX 3070Ti 3X OC model because I got a good deal. The catch here is my current PSU is Corsair CX550M 2021 (Black label). It cannot handle the RTX 3070Ti and I will buy a 650/750W PSU but it will take 3-4 days. I have the 3070Ti now and planning to use the GPU at 60-70% power limit or even less because I am not going to game on the card till my new PSU arrives (adjusted in MSI afterburner and profile set to start on startup). I need to complete some documentation work in the upcoming 4 days which cannot be avoided. Is this fine way to run? PSUs yet to be decided between (tight in budget and I need to order it urgent so can't wait for saving more): (all prices converted to USD) CX650F RGB - $72 XPG Core Reactor 650 - $79 XPG Core Reactor 750 - $88 CX750F RGB - $90 Please pick one for me!
  9. I have this Corsair CX550M (2021, Black label) PSU and I want to use it with Gigabyte RTX 3060Ti Gaming Pro OC. The PSU comes with only one PCIE cable for GPU which is a daisy chained 6+2 and 6+2 pin one. Can I use the one 6+2 pin and one 6-pin to power the GPU? I won't be overclocking anything but will definitely under volt it with stock clocks probably to 0.950V or less. 10. Hey, sorry for reviving, can you let mem know where can I find such detailed specifications?
  11. Hey Rem0o, My Zotac RTX 3050 Twin Edge OC has zero rpm mode. The fan starts up at about 60°C and ramps up to 30% and maintains this speed. I wanted to modify this using fan control - like spin the fan 20% when temp reaches 40/50°C. I setup a "Graph" fan curve to achieve this, but at 40/50°C the fans run at same 30%. I can't set them to run at lower speeds. The graph is correct but the fans start and maintains 30%. The zero rpm mode cannot be broke by fan control? The picture is an example at 30°C
  12. I have MSI MAG Forge 100R case that comes with one rear exhaust fan and 2 front intake fans. I also have Cooler master sickle flow 120mm fan to add. I wanted to add it in the front but the case design seems to block the fan. You can see the amount of blockage in this photo - https://ibb.co/2Sf0Sht (currently this 3rd fan is disconnected) The CPU cooler is Arctic esports 34 (single fan edition) cooling a 12400F and the GPU is Zotac RTX 3050 Twin Edge OC. Should I install the 3rd fan in this way or I am wasting the fan behind a blockage? Should I install this fan in rear top as exhaust to make 2 intake + 2 exhaust config?
  13. I just find out the drive works only in 2.0 ports in any computer and does not work at all in any 3.0 ports in any computer. What could be the problem?
  14. I have built my first PC and everything is working fine except that one of my USB drive (32GB Sandisk drive) is not getting detected by the PC. But it is working fine in the laptop I had before this PC. The thing is I have the 16GB version of the exact same model and this one works in all the USB ports on the PC and the laptop, but the 32GB is not working on any USB ports on the PC but works in all the USB ports in the laptop. No sound or anything from windows when I plug in this. Pic of device manager of PC with only keyboard, mouse, USB wifi adapter and this 32GB stick plugged in. Since the 32GB stick is getting detected on the laptop, can I do anything to the drive in laptop that can make it work on the PC? I have tried formatting it to FAT32 and NTFS in the laptop, it still didn't work in the PC. Both systems have the same Win 10 Pro x64 build. EDIT: The 32GB stick doesn't show up in windows disk management nor in 3rd party tools like MiniTool partition Wizard. Any help is appreciated.
  15. As longs as it works in dual channel and rated frequency (it will), there will be no drawbacks
  16. I can get the WD purple WD42PURZ for same size which is a CMR drive, but all I have read is they are designed to have like one frame can be corrupt because one frame in surveillance doesn't matter?
  17. Should I spend $26 more and get WD Red Plus 4TB 5400rpm CMR drive? Is it worth it?
  18. Is this kind of game recording come under "sustained IO for longer period of time"? Because I have read SMRs can't handle "sustained IO for longer period of time"
  19. Where I live, it's hard to get CMR drives, but I want to know if a SMR drive will be okay for game recordings @1080p 60fps OBS recording CRF/CQP set to around 18? The drive I can get is WD 4TB 5400rpm (WD40EZAZ)
