I don't disagree with that then, maybe I originally replied / quoted to the wrong person sorry about that
-
It doesn't matter if it's a scientific theory or a "regular theory", it's still a theory and that isn't proof.
-
Lol bro, he cited this: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Drake_equation Which is A probabilistic argument is a theory. Scientific or not, is irrelevant
-
Well, the user I was quoting earlier quite literally said aliens exist. When he cited a theory, which isn't proof?
-
So now you're undermining science, why? The're plenty of objective / truthy things in science and our reality. Saying "aliens exist", isn't

Yes I know the g4560 is the best bang for your buck. But I just want the g4620 for the extra mhz lol. Anyway. I multitask, but not heavily. For example: 10-20 tabs in Chrome while playing Path of Exile and then like to alt-tab a lot and watch a YouTube video or whatnot. All 1080p ofc. So this might sound like a dumb question but would these Pentiums be fine for that type of usage? Or would an i5 / R5 be more appropriate?

Should I upgrade to Ryzen?

Your i7 6900k is more than double the price of the Ryzen 7 1700. -
Should I upgrade to Ryzen?
MakeAMDGreatAgain replied to Polarwindz's topic in CPUs, Motherboards, and Memory
Not if he's encoding / doing workstation stuff. Ryzen blows Intel's i7s out of the water for workstation tasks. (price:ratio) For gaming, then it could be a backwards step, but not by much. -
Looks like Ryzen 5 OC as much as Ryzen 7

The R5 1400 blows some i7s out of the water in some tests as well. (From that Santiago Youtuber that is benchmarking). The R5 is going to be a yuuuge success. R5's will make any i5 obsolete. (Except a i5 7600k at 5Ghz maybe) -
FX 6300 to G4620?
MakeAMDGreatAgain replied to MakeAMDGreatAgain's topic in CPUs, Motherboards, and Memory
Alright, you basically confirmed it for me then. I'll be upgrading to a R5 chip or an i5. (Most likely R5). Thank you e: I'm just sick of "Waiting for Ryzen!" lol -
I was thinking of doing a pretty good budget build and just getting a 50$~ mobo, 100$ 16gb DDR4 ram~, and then a G4620 for around 70$. Can get a G4560 for around 60, but most are sold out. However, would it be worth it to upgrade to the G4620 from my FX 6300? Like, would I actually see noticeable performance increases in applications / OS usage? Or should I just wait for the R5 chips, or just buy a 7600k? 7600k is almost triple the price, + 50$ more for a z270 board. Hmmm e: Btw, all I do is game and compile C code every once in a while, and fiddle around with Photoshop

I'm just so frugal that I'm not sure if I am ready to bite the bullet for the upgrade. Have to get new mobo and ddr4 I mean if programs become even more snappier than this, I think it's a win win. I wonder if there are any benchmarks of the fx 6300 in cpu tasks compared to the newer i5s that show side by side comparisons of opening programs, etc. Just to see it However with that said. I know for gaming it's a huge difference so I mean I cannot go wrong there!
-
So I am still using my old fx 6300. I upgraded to a SSD last year and holy shit what a world of a difference. However. Now, I want to upgrade my fx 6300 to a R5 chip, or a 7600k. But now, since I already have the SSD will I actually feel noticeable performance improvements while using Chrome, editing in Photoshop, compiling games, opening general programs, etc? I know for gaming there will be a big difference, but am just not sure if everyday programs will become even more "snappier", if you will. I mean Photoshop opens within 2-3 seconds already. Will shit actually get even faster? Or will the i5 really only shine in gaming?

Nintendo makes virtually no profit on the Switch.
MakeAMDGreatAgain replied to GoodBytes's topic in Tech News
Nintendo advertised it on their product website and in articles all the time as a selling point. They are just as much responsible. -

Good. They lied about that nvidia "custom" chip.
