  1. Oh this is pretty sweet. I always wanted to do something like this but with Linux for personal use and Windows for gaming and other programs. Are there any advantages/disadvantages to running 2 VMs vs let's say running Windows and then running a Linux VM in it?
  2. Oh when I am in public, I just don't listen to anything. Sorry I didn't make that clear
  3. I actually do use my speakers a lot which is annoying as I need to cup my hands to hear clearly enough. When I am in public, I am actually not comfortable wearing headphones as I like to hear things around me and stuff gets stolen a lot on the trains and buses I take. My left and right ears are shaped very differently so it is very hard to find any earphones that won't cause pain in my right ear lol. This will probably happen. Maybe they'll figure out under the screen front-facing speakers ?
  4. Hmm this is an interesting point. Let's say you have phone the size of a Galaxy Note 9 (6"4). How much of a difference from going 80% to 87% screen space would actually make though? 80% is achievable without any notches, sliding or hole-punch cameras.
  5. Recently, manufacturers have been racing to reach a 100% screen-to-body ratio phones. We have seen phones with bezel-less designs, notches, sliding cameras, and now a hole-punch camera in efforts to increase screen space. My question is, do you really care screen space at all? For me, I think it is cool, but there are a lot of features that I would prioritize over this such as responsiveness, battery capacity, fingerprint sensor, and front-facing speakers. Because of this huge emphasis on screen space, there has been a lack of budget phones with front-facing speakers. Have there been any phones with front-facing speakers released in the last 2 years that are sub $300? The only ones I know of are $550+ like the Pixel 2/3, Asus Rog, and Razer.
  6. ^ Sadly, I'm not very good or diligent enough to manage my cables @.@ Hopefully people don't troll and put something like toilet paper.
  7. Inspired by Mooshi's "Never again" products thread. Instead of products you would never buy again, if you went back in time, which products would you buy again and why? For me, I would my my Audio Technica ATR2100 microphone again because of its lifetime warranty and customer service. I once lost my usb cable after moving and after asking them what kind of usb cable it was, they shipped the cable to my house, no questions asked. I also accidentally dropped my mic off my desk several times until I was having low output. I was able to send it in and received a new one with all of the cables and tripod stand. I also really enjoy my CALs (Creative Aurvana Live) headphones because of the sound quality it delivers for its price. I personally prefer the sound quality over other closed headphones like the Beat Solo2, ATH-M50x, Meze 99, V-Moda Crossfade M-100. Unfortunately, the isolation is quite poor and the build quality feels cheap, but is it only a fraction of the cost of the other headphones mentioned and no amp is required. I wouldn't feel bad about breaking them and I've had no issues with them after heavy use for 2 years.
  8. My family has a bunch of ZenFones and I can agree with you that the ZenFone 2 is quite terrible. However, my brother got me the ZenFone 3 for my birthday and I was actually impressed by how much they improved. It is a lot faster, more responsive, decent camera, nice display, fingerprint sensor, 64gb and all for $250. My only gripes about it is that I dislike the position of the lock button and the vibration is very weak making it hard to notice texts sometimes. I also do have a Logitech G600 mouse that I have banged and dropped repeatedly, but there is no visible damage and works like new. For me, I dislike Razer. The Kraken sound quality sounds very artificial and is very big and clunky. I also hate Razer Synapse because there were times where I had to manually delete a Synapse service just to get the audio working and I could not get it to work on my MacBook Air at all. It also concerns me that Razer refuses to name any of their manufacturing partners but only confirmed that they were using Chinese switches after the Kailh logo was found on their boards. But tbh, a lot of closed headphones can't satisfy me after using my CALs and DT 1350 so that may be something to consider.
  9. Oh, I was going to check Gigabyte next so i checked their website BIOS downloads and the lastest one for the GA-AX370-Gaming K5 does have the AGESA 1.0.0.6 update
  10. Other than the Asus ROG CROSSHAIR VI HERO (such a ridiculous name), what motherboards currently have the AGESA 1.0.0.6 BIOS update? I reached out to MSI and they said that none of their boards currently have this update, but they expect it to be available "soon." Seeing that the crosshair is a bit pricey, I am looking for other options. Any ideas?
  11. Then does anyone know of a mobo that allows a corsair dominator 3200 to be overclocked to 3200 with ryzen?
  12. Does anyone know if the Corsair Dominator 3200 can be overclocked to 3200 with Ryzen?
  13. Sanctorum, the build looks great! The 1700X does look great for it's price point. What would you suggest would be a better PSU than the one I have? What do you guys think of this monitor? Samsung CFG70 Series 24-Inch I personally think monitors over 24 inches are too big when used for gaming.
  14. Thanks Honor for your thoughts and build. He included my current hard drive for this build.
  15. Hey everyone, I am in desperate need of a upgrade to my current PC as it can no longer run anything smoothly except for LoL and has a weird tendency to freeze my mouse and creating loud, scary, distorted sounds through my headphones despite replacing the crappy power supply and defective graphics card. I am also an aspiring game developer who wants to start learning how to create games in Unity and Unreal. This means that I need a PC that can handle the development of 3D and VR games. But before considering on planning my new PC build, I want to ask you if I should wait for Frontier/RX Vega or build a PC now and use my current Radeon R9 270 until it is released. Since gaming has also been part of my lifestyle for as long as I can remember, I would also like to game in 1080p 144hz. I am a huge MMO fan so I would like to play Black Desert, Rocket League, Guild Wars 2, CS:GO and other games like Andromeda, Skyrim, Divinity: Original Sin on high settings with ease. Video editing and streaming may be a possibility, but not a requirement for this build. I am scared to reuse any parts from my current PC as it has such weird problems, but I would also like to save money so the current components I have are: Radeon R9 270 AMD FX-8320 Vishera 8-Core 3.5 GHz WD Blue 1TB Desktop Hard Disk Drive - 7200 RPM BIOSTAR TA970 Ver. 5.3 G.SKILL Sniper Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) 240-Pin DDR3 EVGA SuperNOVA 650 G1, 80+ GOLD 650W I only plan on using 1 monitor for now which I also need. and I would like to keep my budget under $2000. Any Ideas?
