  1. Yes thats what exactly I thought, I noticed their is heaps tools available to do this.. Might need to ask technet on this one
  2. oh its for a research assignment, but I cannot find anything about 'compatibility issues from migrating vmware to hyper-v'. This subject is silly as I would personally choose ESXi but its kinda based around hyper-v virtualization.
  3. Hello all, I am trying to look into this topic but cannot find the answer I am looking for. Compatibility issues migrating from vmware to hyper-v? I have only found steps on how to do it, not any issues behind it. Cheers p.s move to correct section if there is a category for this.
  4. Hey all, I have this weird issue happening with the feature in windows server 2012 R2 Datacenter. I am certain it might be my Win 10 OS that could be causing the issue. So on VMWorkstation 14, I created a VM ( server 2012 r2 datacenter), I then added the Hyper-V features and after it does the install then asks to restart, the VM freezes up on the windows flag logo. I have checked the bios and I have flashed to the latest and have virtualization enabled. I have also tried with the VT-d option enabled and disabled. I have tried remove add on like the usb controller to the VM just to have everything limited with failure. I have also added the text lines in the vmx file hypervisor. mce.enable = "TRUE" hypervisor.cpuid.v0 = "FALSE" and the vhv one also. My system: CPU - i7 8700k RAM - Hyper x Predator @ 3200mhz 16GB STORAGE - NVMe 960 evo 500gb, 4GB SATA GPU - EVGA SC2 1080TI MOBO - STRIX Z370 E PSU - EVGA 850W GOLD
  5. I've started working with Python, It's quite 'wtf' at first, but after some time you can see how stuff comes into play. I find doing a tutorial on the basics then going and doing program making tutorials will lead you in the right direction. I been working with Pygames and you can make GUI games with Python, though I am only doing 2D stuff at the moment, but their is games that have been made in 3D with the Python language which is pretty cool..
  6. I noticed my temperatures on this laptop when playing csgo where outstanding, im talking nearly 90c. Check out the filth of this, I gave it a new coat of thermal and a really good tidy up. idle @ 40-45 atm. thought i'd share for a laugh, and raise the issue to keep your laptops clean.
  7. Ill have a look. looks pretty intense this one haha, um whats the router password for the ISP
  8. Is their anything in particular you can't do before I examine the shit out of the configs?
  9. Show me some of ur work, if you have some problems upload the file and I'll fix it. and write the solution
  10. Hello all! So I know their is a show your network post, however this isn't really a post for a personnel network. It's actually a post for people who can design their networks in which ever way they want them to look. For those of you who are familiar with Cisco equipment you will understand you need to learn Cisco iOS skills to be able to set up ports, IPs, security etc. So let's see what you have created! I have done a few and also did some learning ones from Dans Courses from his YouTube channel. You can get Cisco packet tracer here. (note: you need to become a student from what I hear, but if you already are then AWESOME!) Here is a spreadsheet for the iOS that can assist you HERE!
  11. Yea nice one. Glad you got it sorted =]
  12. Hi, I can throw some ideas out. I personally haven;t played these games so not to sure exactly how fast it normally is ment to be. 1. Whats your internet speed on speed test? 2. Have you been on the community forums for this game and asked? 3. Have you rebooted your router and PC? You can view your data usage for apps by typing 'data usage overview' in the search bar then after that you will see another option called 'data usage', this can maybe point to what apps are sucking the life out of your internet. I like to manually turn off all unnecessary services.
  13. If another device is getting better speeds, but your PC isn't I doubt it's the ISP. You could check your Usage details, type 'data usage overview' in the search bar, then click 'usage details' to try and see if something is sucking the life out of your bandwidth. Check your Ethernet cables or if you are using WiFi then maybe just try with an Ethernet cable. I use a tool thats a bit more advanced then 'netstat' and can give a better look at current connections which you can get here http://netstatagent.com/.
  14. Ah yea I know, it's just to put something together for a look, though this company is pretty cheap as from what I have seen so far. Edit: I am from aussie so AUD pricing
