  2. I personally got the GTX 980 only because i could not find a gtx 970 in stock anywhere and i really needed to get a graphics card to complete my system. I am using the GTX 980 and it is working great but i think i would have gotten by just fine with the 970 even running at 1440p.
  3. If you wanted to go for a 770 there are 4GB variants that should solve the texture issues (e.g http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00E5AEIKE/ref=wms_ohs_product?ie=UTF8&psc=1). I myself have a 290x which works great. If going for a 290 get one with a third party cooler. (the reference cooler is notoriously bad)
  4. I just moved from a 770 to 290x and I had some issues after doing the normal Nvidia uninstall. I ended up using the Display Driver Uninstaller (http://www.guru3d.com/files_details/display_driver_uninstaller_download.html) from guru3d.com. It removes all nvidia components from the file system and registry. Note: it will prompt you to backup your registry before you do the uninstall and it will also reboot into safemode to actually perform the uninstall process.
  5. Hey here is an article from videocardz.com that details a possible roadmap for the deployment of the GM204 chips and possible SKUs. This is something to chew on for the time being. http://videocardz.com/51009/nvidia-preparing-four-maxwell-gm204-skus
  6. The brushed aluminium finish looks pretty sexy together with the red accents and the signatures make this a nice collectors item.
  7. Hey I love the knock code to unlock the phone and the control buttons to the back of the phone. Fed up of accidentally hitting buttons on the side of my device lol.
  8. about 4 months ago went from gtx 670's in SLi to gtx 770's in SLi to game at 1440p comfortably. Before that had a single gtx 570 and had that for about 2 years before I went with the 670s. So on average about every two years.
  9. Hi Guys, I am thinking about putting a second GTX 770 4GB in my system to properly push games at 1440p resolution. I just wanted to know if you guys think I should just go for a single card solution like a GTX 780 Ti for smoother game-play or just get the second GTX 770 4GB and deal with any microstutter that may occur with an SLi system. I know that in terms of numbers two GTX 770 cards are more powerful than a 780Ti, but again just some worries about SLi issues. My system specs are as follows: CPU - Intel i5 3570K @ 4.2 GHz RAM - Kingston HyperX Blue @ 1600 MHz 8GB Mainboard - MSI Z77A-GD65 Video - EVGA GTX 770 4GB Superclocked w ACX cooler Power - Corsair TX 850
