  1. Greetings. My PC developed an issue where on startup the desktop background is blacked out. I can still open task manager using CTRL SHIFT ESC. The windows key on keyboard has no function. I can only open programs by manually finding the application on the hard drive. After roughly 10mins of waiting, everything goes back to normal. Desktop reappears, all applications on startup load correctly. Problem reoccurs every 2 weeks or so...? What could be the cause? I updated my GPU to be sure it isn't a driver issue. 2. No. I've looked but decided I need to figure out my wireless options first. It's either wifi or cellular. Trying to rule out one before diving into cellular From what i'm finding Wifi cameras are much cheaper with higher quality, so it's worth a look. Power the camera? Probably batteries, whatever works. Even if I have to change them once a month it's worth it if I get a plate number.
  3. I was thinking the house was close enough to plug in a wifi booster. If it's plugged inside the house closest to the road that is. I don't know how limited wifi boosting is..
  4. Greetings. Somebody keeps dumping trash on my property so I need your help picking out a camera. The location is on a logging road near home. The camera is going to be in the woods away from any structures. It needs to able to capture the license plate if a car pulls in. Facial clarity is less important, Should I get a trail camera or a security camera? Are security cameras weatherproof enough to be used in the woods? I'm also concerned about the camera being stolen or damaged to the point where I can't get the pictures of our crook. I've seen trail cams have a cellular option. It might be somewhat a luxury, but I believe the pictures being sent to me immediately will come in handy if the camera gets stolen. Any recommendations is appreciated! Thank you.
  5. Greetings. I have a logging road where somebody keeps dumping trash. I'd like to set up a surveillance system yet I'm having a hard time selecting a camera. Part of my trouble is I need the photos captured sent to me, so I need either a cellular service option or WIFI connection. The road isn't far from the house, I'm thinking a WIFI connection might be an option. (might not) I don't know much about WIFI signal/range booster devices. Any advice is appreciated. I'd say the camera's location is roughly a 2 min walk from the house. Maybe 500 feet or less?
  6. Hey. I run 8gb of ddr3 in my gaming computer. Never been an issue till recently. When I play games like Tarkov with chrome open I have gotten crashes and throttling from running out of memory. Should I throw $15 for another 4gb stick or should I find a way to get a kit of 2 sticks? I've been told there's a speed penalty for running an odd number of sticks. How noticeable is this in gaming? At this point, running out of memory is far more irritating than a slightly slower computer. Assuming a decrease in bandwidth won't be extremely noticeable.
  7. I took out the graphics card unplugged all SATA cables took out the battery from the motherboard let it sit for a week. Just about to go to Microcenter to get some new hardware I turned it on and it displays. The motherboard CMOS has been wiped. Cool. I reconnect my operating system SSD. I got it to load after three attempts. Off/on. Everything is normal. Decided to reconnect all hard drives, now it doesn't display at all. This is driving me crazy. What is causing this?
  8. I thought that's what I did. I tired multiple times.
  9. Yeah I changed voltage to 1.210 Already tried CMOS per manual. No luck
  10. Gaz97x gaming 3 is my mobo 1.210 volts I had it running for maybe 45 minutes before turning it off. It was stable throughout. 64c temperature I followed this video
  11. Hello. Tried overclocking my cpu last night. I was successful in getting 4.6ghz stable. After I turned off my pc I can't get a display on restart. I unplugged the psu, took out the mobo battery and let it sit overnight. Still no display. What else can I do? I'm fine with upgrading but rather not if my cpu still works.
  12. I unplugged the power, took out the battery and left it overnight. That should be it right? What other cable did I need to disconnect?
