    I wish a company would make a productivity phon…

Mmm probably, I can't really remember tbh I've never bothered to look closely at them. Haha, yeah, I think I'd find that too small. 6.3" is about the smallest I'd go, unless it was a wider aspect ratio. Likely a lot of side by side comparisons and spreadsheet work on the go. So, really, a Fold is likely right up there on what I want...just, one with an incorporated stylus. I have no use for creative aspects, and a laptop is way more bulky than I'd want, it's for the times I'm not close to a computer. Haha, that's a little different than what I was thinking I was thinking more personal not commercial.
  2. Ahhh yeah I was thinking half the price of the $40, but it was Canadian as well; it's only one broken key. At $30 US (~$45 Canadian) it wouldn't even really be worth fixing, I'd likely just send it off to the recyclers.
  3. When making a post, it's important that you include where you live, as this pricing means nothing. Just going from rough numbers provided: You're overpaying for the SSD by a huge amount. You can get 1TB NVME drives for significantly cheaper. That's way too much money for that RAM. That's a lot of money for extra fans.
  4. I didn't read it as that at all. I read it as: Will there be a guard at the door, or someone overlooking the PCs? Will the room with the PCs be locked when not in use? Very simple answers that in no way jeopardize anything.
  5. Hmmm. $375k for a 4 unit complex. Very tempting.

      Thinking about becoming a landlord?

I've heard it's a decent way to make money somewhat passively, you just have to either hire a property management company or deal with being a landlord.

Sort of. Looking at buying a place with a basement suite, and this popped up in the search. We plan on renting out the bottom while we live there for a couple of years, and then renting out the top and moving into another place further in the country (either buying or building). Renting out the basement would cover about half of the housing related costs, while this suite would profit us a few thousand a year.

  6. Could just be a DOA CPU, it happens. I'd RMA it. Though, as already said, investing in this platform isn't worth the money. I'd save up and buy something a little newer. Welcome to the forum.
  7. Broken Arrow is a 100% buy for me.

  8. Zenfone 10 is looking interesting. I hope they put a massive battery in it.

  9. Well you only have 3 options. I'd go with the Dell AW2723DF
  10. Way too much for that cooler. Spend a touch more and get something of quality, like a Noctua unit, or one of the significantly better heavy hitters. I wouldn't get a 27" 1080p monitor, I'd aim for 1440p at that size. PSU seems pricey, but I haven't checked comparables.
  11. Oh ChopValue. $1,299 Canadian for a standing desk? Are you kidding me?

    That is. Completely unrealistic.

  12. Easiest. Build. Ever. The game will run on virtually anything. I ran the beta on a GTX 1050.

The 7800X3D efficiency argument is one of the m…

Eh. I mean, if you're buying enthusiast hardware it's a hobby, and expenses come with hobbies. PC gaming is still a very cheap hobby in comparison to many, many others. Sure, $10 a month is more, but if you're buying a high end PC you should be able to afford it. If you can't, well, you probably shouldn't be shelling out thousands for a PC. Yeah exactly. For most people watching the video that's next to nothing.
  14. Yeah, I'd just try running that in the new system. Worst case, you have to buy new RAM, but it's not hard to get. Worth the shot IMO.
  15. Yeah, that's why I went with it. I've had problems getting Ryzen to work with memory. This time around I got the CPU and memory out of the same Dell motherboard, so I knew they'd work together. I'd probably check the QVL of whatever motherboard you get, and get memory that's listed on it. Is the memory you have now 2600mhz? Or 3200mhz? If it's the former, I'd get something with higher clock speeds. Ryzen needs fast memory to perform at its best.

    Why not ?

That seems like a solution to a problem far too few people have. That's why they haven't bothered. I'd prefer to not have any external power bricks, monitors included, and just have a thicker monitor.
  17. The 5000 series is still DDR4; honestly I really wouldn't be worried about DDR5 right now. Give it a couple of years to reach maturity, then it'll be worth diving into. AMD drivers are usually the problem. That's what I had with mine. Memory issues were present in gen 1, gen 2, and slightly in gen 3 Ryzen. They were mostly fixed in gen 4 (5000 series), and they're awful in the 7000 series.
  18. Ah interesting good to know! It's a K68 RGB.
  19. Hmmm. For 1080p gaming I'd say you're in a really nice budget tier. Personally, I'd try and grab a good deal on a B550/5600x, or if you don't mind going used, you can get insane deals on 5800x setups, which would be more than enough for 1080p. I myself experienced issues running AMD graphics cards. If you're one of the unlucky ones, it can definitely be frustrating...but cards are pretty cheap now. With some hunting you can find a great deal on a 3070, which will net you more performance, at a very small price once you sell your 6600XT. Something to consider. Welcome to the forum.
  20. I was wondering what the cheapest replacement keycaps for a Corsair mechanical keyboard were? I know you can get Corsair ones for $40 from BestBuy, but I was hoping for something less than half that. I'm looking to sell a keyboard I got with a PC, that came broken and has a couple of cracked keys.

Oh AudioTechnica. You had me at M50x with a mic…

Exactly! It's ridiculous. Especially that odd multi headed cable they threw in there. Very disappointing.
  22. I'll wait to see what happens when it comes out Haha, he might have friends that play on the PS for games that aren't cross platform. If I really wanted to play an exclusive I'd probably just buy the console rather than waiting years to play it.
  23. If there's no actual leaks (pictures, game studio files saying they're making games for it, etc) then I wouldn't bother waiting. You also have to take into account that it will likely be a much more costly device. You can wait forever waiting for the next great thing; it's always around the corner. As for your upgrade, do you actually need a 4070Ti? The 4060Ti is likely going to be a very capable card. I'd just buy now.
  24. The performance is about the same. No real reason to spend more.

Haha yeah, that looks a lot more like the scanners we use at work. The ROG Phone is the closest, but it's a little too big and I hate the aesthetic...plus it'd be nice to have some solid cameras. Maybe the Pixel Fold will evolve into something I want But realistically it'll probably be up to Samsung..
