  1. If you ar elooking for x570 go for the Asus tuf ga I g WiFi (200$) if you wan't wifi or the gigabyte elite x570 if no WiFi needed
  2. Why do you need the 3900x? Curious as that's really pushing the balance of the budget to cpu intensive tasks to I want to make sure that's what you need
  3. Stick with the B450 and follow a guide for bios flashback for that board/rtfm and you will be fine. X570 is over priced and you won't use the pcie4 that is its only selling point
  4. 3200 cl16 seems to be the best compromise between price/performance for 3600 systems You should check current support for 3200cl16 on ryzen 1600 and the b350 board as there's been alot of changes since launch and wonder if this has been investigated much What's the reason for the upgrade to 16gb. Just not enough currently?
  5. What's the current ram you have also what's the CL of existing and new ram
  6. Ok will probably look at that and 2 x 140m fans in the front. Is the 212 enough for an overclock for 4.2 all core?
  7. Hi all Thanks for all the help. I finally went for the fujifilm xt30 when it came out and has been working great so far.
  8. Thanks man for the feed back! Case I was really torn over too. What's the meahify c costs like? Added 50€ for aftermarket cooler as an estimate for when they are released. The board has bios flashback so easy to update bios and will support the 3600 from what I have read
  9. I am upgrading for the first time in many years and lloking for complete new machine + monitor. My current rig is a poor 60hz 1080p monitor, 2700k gtx 670 so in desperate need for something new. Looking for some advice on if this is a good balance for 144hz 1440p gaming and occasionally productivity with the current offerings (I am not time constrained for renders etc) . Budget is around 1600€ (Netherlands but can get UK parts if they offer value Inc exchange rate) including monitor. I have a 860 evo 500gb waiting already to use as well as bulk storage spare, I don't think I will benifit from higher speed storages. I play competitive fps and would like to get back into ac and other games again. My current build below. Biggest difficulty has been gpu selection as really do not know what to expect with 5700xt aftermarket coolers and long term support, same for CPU fan selection as I am planning on overclocking the 3600. Please let me know if there are any areas I can improve? Thanks, Precept. 10. OK then it looks pretty good. Would go with 3600 for 1440p should handle it fine and a good B450 motherboard like the msi Gaming Pro carbon ac. If your buying in a month or 2 wait for the 5700 xt aftermarket coolers and drivers as well as pricing to settle to see best gpus for price and performance.
  11. Ahhh OK. Different board the the x470 though Either way B450 is a good shout just do some research in reliability and feature set. No need for x470 x570
  12. If you are including the monitor in the price then it won't fit with that gpu included in the budget.
  13. I am also curious. Only heard good things and price has been increasing due to demand being high for this particular board.
  14. 3200 cl16 is fine. Robert mentions theres a 1% between 3600 cl15 and it. And the cost is just not worth it. Get a good reliable 3200 cl16 and don't worry any further.
  15. Hey all, I am looking for a new laptop, general everyday use not many requirements, just looking for something that will be best value for money and last a while. Will be used for some general work needs (own business) but limited to mostly administrative (accounting, spreadsheets, etc)/browsing general use, not planning on gaming on it, maybe a little photoshop but nothing serious. Laptop below ive had hands on and likes the feel, not certain that specs are best for money though so looking for some guidance on alternatives (also only 14" screen): https://www.currys.co.uk/gbuk/computing/laptops/laptops/lenovo-ideapad-ip320s-14ikb-14-intel-core-i7-laptop-256-gb-ssd-grey-10169399-pdt.html Budget is around £600 (GBP), places to buy such as: https://www.ebuyer.com https://www.scan.co.uk https://www.amazon.co.uk https://currys.co.uk Requirements: Minimum 250gb SSD (pref 500gb), alternative as 250gb boot drive with some HDD storage 15.6" display, 1080p if 14" is highly recommended then may be flexible on what I end up with. Good WiFi card as will only connect using WiFi 8gb ram min (because,.... chrome) Good OEM support for updates on drivers Needs good build quality including trackpad (pref windows precision drivers) If there are any suggestions on potential laptops I would like to hear them so I can compare and make a better informed choice, its been a long time since i looked at laptop hardware and not so familiar with it anymore. Thanks Precept
