  1. okay, Thanks, will do, but 1st imma need some thermal paste, i have 1 used laying aorund somewhere, not sure its okay to use it or not Okay, Thanks for the information, will update later free time only on weekends
  2. this here is the manual for the motherboard for reference i guess 7693v4.0_ASIA.pdf
  3. i did read the manual, but i can't seem to find where it tells me what the beeps mean
  4. Already tried switching the pci slot, still same result and the thing is, i don't have another system, well except for my main one, and im not about to dismantle that myself. i don't remember what bios it runs
  5. Motherboard: MSI 970 GAMING CPU: AMD FX 8350 BLACK EDITION GPU: PALIT GTX 560 SMART EDITION PSU: THERMALTAKE LITEPOWER 600W BLACK EDITION CPU COOLER : COOLER MASTER HYPER 212 LED (New) Problem: - No beep with no gpu installed. 5 beeps with gpu installed Story Time: - This is my old pc before i upgraded/switch to a new one, so its been sitting in the dust for about a month now i would say. The GPU is the one thats been collecting dust from last year i think. So recently,i was trying/training to build my own pc, by transferring the parts from an old case to a newer case. Now, the old pc was still working before with the "newer" gpu. The old parts was assembled/stored in an old case, without the old gpu and it was working kinda fine, im not sure because that time we didn't installed the old gpu and so we didn't hook the pc to any monitor, just turned on the motherboard and was satisfied because there was no beep. After a month,i bought a case to test out my building skills, and i was so unskilled that i assembled everything from the old case to the new case without proper outside boot/test. At that time i was using Corsair VS650 PSU. In the end, i got no post with 1 long beep and 2 short beeps. feeling despair, i send the pc to the shop to check why it was not booting up. the shop said the psu was the problem, then charge me a ridiculous amount, which im still mad about. now with another psu (stated above) and with another case i bought, i tried again. but this time, im testing it outside the case, with only the parts mentioned above, and voila, still no post.....hahahaha.....well, if i remove the gpu, the motherboard will startup with no beeps, but if i install the gpu, i got 5 short beeps. could not figure this thing out. so i need some info/clarification on what/why it beeps. info: - In previous attempt, i did switch the RAMs in and out (i only have 2 that are compatible with the motherboard) with no prevail. - i have only 1 other gpu and that is in my current setup which is RX480, not confident enough to take that out to test on the old pc [maybe] In The Nutshell, i only want this pc to work for 2 reason, as my work station or as my lets say dummy for practicing building pc or troubleshooting hardware I did read that 5 beeps meaning CPU problem, it needs a reaseat. for that i need to buy thermal paste 1st since i don't have any now, except the one thats also been sitting since new year after 1 use or that i need to change cpu and that means i be better off buying a new setup. Im thinking Ryzen 5 1400, new mobo, new psu, the same cooler, Armaggeddon Vesta v2fx, 1 SSD, 500gb HDD(already bought a new one)........ 6. Thank You Sir, i'll check them out later, will update on the prices
  7. Thank You sir, I'll bump up the Max Budget to RM3,000.00 but please include CPU Cooler and SSD
  8. The one cheapest I could find is the SSDNow UV400 for RM237
  9. Okay, but is RM2,000.00 enough?
  10. like last week and i don't think i can return it never mind then, i really have no knowledge when it comes to hardware picks, im only good with softwares...and games ...... I'll just buy another PSU later
  11. is it really necessary to upgrade the CPU? Adding SSD or changing the PSU (some time later) is fine but the CPU?
  12. 1. Please recommend what SSD should I buy? i will only use it for Boot Up 2. I just bought the PSU , I was planning to buy Corsair CX650M but they only had VS650, nevermind then, maybe i'll upgrade it after this? what should i get?
  13. 1. Budget & Location - Currency : MYR / Ringgit Malaysia - Location : Malaysia - Budget : less than RM2,000.00 (less is better XD) 2. Aim - Gaming (Main Usage) : Witcher 3, Fallout 4, Dota 2, Skyrim, Darkess Dungeon Etc - Media Consumption : Basic Internet, Youtube - Maybe In The Future : Video Editing 3. Monitors - 1 (Philips LCD 21.5" 223V5LSB2/69) 4. Peripherals - Basic mouse and keyboard - Windows 7 / 64-bit 5. Why are you upgrading? - To keep my system cool/low temperature when gaming 6. Current Specs PSU - Corsair VS650 GPU - MSI RX480 GAMING X 8G Case - SEGOTEP LUX (Blue) CPU - AMD FX8350 (with stock cooler) MOBO - MSI 970 Gaming RAM - 4GB DDR3 (basic) x 2 HDD - 1TB 7. Problem Now, I'm very happy with my setup because I'm not into that ULTRA HD CURVED 40" DISPLAY ULTIMATE GAMING TEXTURES FETISH, as long as I can play the game smoothly and with a little bit of prettiness is fine by me. Sure Witcher 3 with Ultra settings + NVIDIA HairWorks looks awesome, but I prefer performance rather than image quality. The only thing bothering me is the stock CPU cooler that can't keep up with the AMD, I already cleaned it and apply new thermal paste but still when playing games like Witcher 3 the temperature is above 70 but still below 80. I'm planning to get the Cooler Master Hyper 103 and install 2 more additional fans for exhaust (On Top), now im wondering if there's any other hardware that I should upgrade or add-on for example a SSD. Do i need to upgrade anything else or it is fine to just get that Cooler Master Hyper 103 and 2 fans? 8. Side Note - I don't Overclock anything, I'm afraid and have little knowledge about overclocking. Stock performance is fine with me. - I prefer no water cooling because I don't know a thing about water cooling and I'm afraid of leaks. I have a cat and she is very destructive. - I have no friends, so that's why I'm asking the people on the internet for help. Please? - I don't really care for RGB or color matching.
  14. OKAY! THANKS! but one review said that, the lux casing obstructs certain VGA and HDMI cables because of how the case is designed. i don't know what he means. he has not replied to my comment asking about it and i don't know where to get the official specs for the LUX since Segotep only has Facebook.....urgh....thats my main gripe about that product. is the LUX compatible with my setup? (switch the PSU to the new one)
  15. 1st - I never overclocked anything, too noob and too afraid, so no problem there, thanks. 2nd - i could afford the CX650M, is that the one i should buy? if thats the one, im gonna scout other retail since i don't trust Lazada, lol. - I think about getting : 1 - Armaggeddon Teratron T7 Gaming Chassis 2- Segotep LUX ATX Gaming Casing Which one do you think i should get? or what do you recommend?
