  1. For strength and resistance I doubt there is anything. Weights no way because you can’t simulate that. If you want to train with weights you have to lift weights. cardio I can definitely see. I’m surprised there isn’t a cycling simulator game with an exercise bike.
  2. Talk about a small market. Not to disrespect LTT but a rachet screwdriver is a handy device for many industries. Used by millions of people both hobbyists and professionals alike. Not only is this morally wrong in my point of view but those who are going to actually buy an LTT rachet screwdriver are going to just buy the real one. People who just need a ratchet screwdriver are going to buy a quality one from the traditional tool companies.
  3. If something is bottlenecked on purpose by safe guards to keep it functioning properly such as thermal or voltage limits that isn’t a bottle neck. A true bottle neck is driving in a 60mph zone but the car in front of you is going 30 and there is no passing lane. To use that analogy in computer terms. If the GPU is sitting waiting for CPU instructions but the CPU has a backlog of instructions a foot high that it’s still struggling with and can’t spit out fast enough then yeah you may have a problem.
  4. JayzTwoCent's actually just did a video on this.
  5. I know exactly what it is for. What I was saying was if I am going to have my computer do scientific work I want it to be my own work.
  6. It sounds good but would be highly impractical. I have a few issues with folding. I do find the folding at home movement quite commendable but as someone with a large interest in science I can't say I like the idea of doing it myself. But only because I want to be the one doing the science stuff. Folding at home is equivalent to lending a physicist my calculator. I am still not the one doing the work.
  7. What is funny is I know older people than the guy in that video who are up to date with modern computer technology. Though you are also very correct in that many seem to stop at a certain point and never bother with anything newer.
  8. I liked this video. I have a nostalgic curiosity in stuff like this. It would be cool to have a completely working era correct computer like what my school class had when I was a kid. Not sure what I would do with it though.
  9. I just watched the LTT $1,000,000 PC series of videos. That was great. I wish it was a longer more intensive series. That was really interesting.
  10. Watching that video it reinforces my desires to tone back the flash of my PC and future changes or builds I do. I really like that "all business" look you see in more professional systems where its not meant to look good.
  11. As someone who like looking back into the past at how things used to be done I really enjoy the sharing of this old video. Hugely appreciated to the original poster.
  12. I just plug it in over night regardless. If its low battery it gets plugged in. No rituals. Never had a problem. Never had a battery issue. I did once have a battery replaced on my iphone 5 that I purchased new but to show its age I replaced that phone with a brand new iphone 10 so that is how old that phone was.
  13. I don't hoard deliberately. However it is not uncommon to buy a basic part that is not worth selling but stays on the may use one day shelf.
  14. May I ask, is this a dedicated setup that you will be leaving setup in one place? Also what kind of work do you do besides PDF's?
  15. here is my funny but true joke I have about New Zealand. A country bigger than the United Kingdom but with only half the population of London.
  16. I obviously can't tell @LinusTech what videos to make but one thing I think is needed in the enterprise/workstation world is example use cases. In gaming videos you can build a pc and see actual results within the game. But you see workstations like what Puget Systems build or big gpu servers and various high performance computing hardware examples. But you never see what people are doing with them. Like when people say they are doing machine learning, or scientific simulation, or data analysis. Well can we see some examples? Haha.
  17. What cards and what are the other settings? I have no played the game but it definitely looks good.
  18. I only just learned about this. I have been battling this for ages but I had no idea it was linked to ftpm. This explains why it only started randomly as I only turned ftpm on when I went to windows 11. I just did a bios update which was stupid new (end of august new) so will see how that goes.
  19. I habitually run every game on 4k ultra settings so I never get high fps haha. But I can't say I ever notice it enough to where I care.
  20. Seriously though, how does one put limits on what you can achieve if you can still work. I can't turn back the clock. I am the age I am and if I want to do something I have to do it irrelevantly. They haven't invented reverse aging yet.
  21. LIME WIRE!!!! that was it!! Thank you. Oh absolutely, imbedded video was a thing for years. But there was nothing that would truly compare to youtube. To be fair there still isn't.
