i can't wait for the next major Windows update. as a Mac user it's very entertaining to watch Microsoft release an update and then see everyone on here either angry or scared.

they'd be angry about microsoft messing up their system, or scared because they didn't get the update yet.

It seems like every update there are major issues. They might have a foundation problem with Windows just being too old to keep bolting new front ends onto it.

    like macos doesn't have issues

1803 and 1809 are horrible tho, but it's their fault

ofc it has, but not nearly as much as Windows when it comes to updates.

Yeah. There are bugs with macOS. The worst of which where in High Sierra. But like, people aren't getting their files deleted or borking their entire installation.

    that was in a beta

    anything else?

Frames being deleted. Then again, macOS doesn't really have a good game library. Mac's are only just now getting computers that can game decently thanks to Vega and the Radeon Pro 500X series in the MacBook Pros and iMacs.

@DrMacintosh why does everyone keep saying that? i use High Sierra everyday for hours and have never noticed anything. even on my old laptop with a ghetto gpu fix...

@LukeSavenije the biggest issue i have with Windows Update now is that you can't be sure if you get beta updates if you click the check for updates button. that's what caused the data deletion issues with 1809. people were getting beta updates while not running an insider preview version.

    then don't click the button

i know, it's stupid to do, and i actually am inside the program, bit still

all have their issues, and it mainly comes down to personal preference between linux, windows and macos

High Sierra had some graphics glitches on Macs with Intel Iris graphics when waking from sleep or on certain apps with GPU acceleration. That was the only major issue I noticed with it.

    Evil but true. xD

At this point, I just delay the updates for as long as I can and hope that the next one isn't a dumpster fire.

I'm using the Semi-Annual Channel as well because, as far as I understand, it will only update when everything is stable.
