I hate ads mid-way through video's so much. like, I'll have something on in the background since I consume a lot of very long informational content on YouTube and all of a sudden an ad will be blasting and I have to figure out what virtual desktop it's on, go to it and click the skip button and then try to focus on what I was doing again....

    i don't use ad blockers on youtube and i dislike youtube premium. 

     

    if you are unfamiliar with the way youtube premium works, it basically puts your money in a big pool of money, along with the payment of everyone else who uses youtube premium, and the creator you watch is rewared for watchtime, not for you clicking on the video. 

     

    since i watch content that i almost never watch all the way through (i can skim it to find the information i want) using youtube premium would fuck over the creators i watch. if i view an ad they get paid for it regardless of how long i had the video on screen.
