  1. I haven't seen this posted before, but on the Best Buy page for the PS5 they posted the hardware specs including SSD size. https://www.bestbuy.com/site/video-games/playstation-5/pcmcat1572034351415.c?id=pcmcat1572034351415 Screen:
  2. Simple answer, no.. I will be buying the 10900k, and that will require an lga1200 motherboard. I'll likely buy the Z490 Aorus Master.
  3. Intel has cut prices because of Ryzen - x299 price cuts is proof of that.. So we want Ryzen to be good. Real competition helps the consumer.
  4. I decided to build a purely gaming pc with the best gaming cpu possible, so I purchased the 9900k two weeks ago. I'm about to send both cpu and mobo back before the return period expires.. Now that the 10900k was announced, I might as well see how it performs before deciding on cpu/mobo.
  5. I'm finally coming home after being away for about a year. I now have the time to plan my next gaming pc. Budget is roughly $2500-$3000 Current pc - cpu (6850k), 32gb ddr4 3200, 2x evga gtx 1080ti ftw3, and Rampage V Edition 10 motherboard can handle gaming/streaming and video editing... Key word here... Stability. I'm looking for a pc that can game/stream and when I need it, work (video editing) from home. So.. For core comps I'm thinking... cpu: 10980xe mobo: EVGA X299 DARK RAM: 32gb minimum 3600'ish gpu: single 2080ti, or use my 1080ti's until Nvidia announces their next lineup. psu: I could use my corsair AX1200 or get a new one... Cooling: open look water cooling. What do you all think?
  6. So would it make sense to get the 7920x over the 9920x in case I decide to delid?
  7. I have several x299 motherboards. Sticking with Intel.
  8. I need to build a second productivity pc that can also game.. I know the i9 99XXx series is out, but its hard to find reviews other than the 9980xe..Are people skipping these? I'm interested in the 9920x, but again, no reviews. Any thoughts?
  9. I currently have the cpu@4.4 GHz. When I first got the cpu it was a little unstable @4.6.. Currently flushing out the loops (surprisingly clear fluid for being 1 1/2 old just sitting here).. The monitor is the Alienware AW3418DW can be OC to 120hz (new still in box). RAM set to 3200MHz The general consensus I keep hearing is that I should wait a few months.. But its nice to know I can game without much of a problem on my current cpu/mobo.
  10. I appreciate your input. I'll stick with what I have. Thanks again.
  11. Thanks for the reply.. I forgot to add the resolutions I'm using - 3440 x 1440
  12. I've been away from home for well over a year, but now that I'm back. My question is simple. Is my 6850K still a good cpu for gaming? My current system: Intel 6850K Rampage V Edition 10 32gb ram 2x GTX 1080 Ti (yes I know, SLi is going the way of the dodo but I have them, deal with it) :)
  13. Thanks for the replies everyone! My only real concern is playing the PS4 on the ultra wide.. I know there will be black bars on the left and right.. But will those black bars have a distracting ips glow? And there is a difference in Hz for HDMI.. 348q is 50Hz, 279q is 60Hz.. I'm familiar with the reports of the 279q having BLB issues.. That's the nature of panel/production lottery..
  14. Here's the thing.. My old trusty monitor finally went out.. I was using an old Alienware AW2310 120Hz, yes, I said Alienware.. So which ever I choose, it will definitely be an upgrade.. I just cant decide which one I want... My ultimate monitor dream will be the eventual 4k 144Hz PG27UQ, but that wont be for a while.. I had considered the x34, but I prefer Asus. I would have considered x34p, but that's not available... I need something currently available.. I play all types of games, fps, rts, rpg, mmo, sports and simulations, I even play the PS4 on the monitor.. I run dual gtx 1080 Ti (i know, overkill)
