  1. Anyone knows which keyboard they are using there? Looks neat.
  2. Budget (including currency): Maximum 700€ but I'm aiming more for 400-500 Country: Germany Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: No games, the only programs I want to use are Thunderbird, Firefox and some IDEs. So nothing very demanding. Other details: The important details: I don't want an graphics card, it should have low power consumption and I'm looking for hardware which is Linux-friendly. Should be an Mini- or Micro- ITX board. But I prefer Mini. I'm trying to use Linux for office stuff and stuff I just don't need my beefy PC for. Like watching youtube. My problem is that I always run into problems with Linux which often seem to be related to the hardware. Is AMD or Intel better supported under Linux? Especially integrated graphics. And what is an good low power CPU with integrated graphics which runs just fine with Linux?
  3. So maybe someone else will come across this problem so I want to clear things up. Because it took a few days for Gigabyte to answer I decided to try a Displayport to HDMI adapter. And it works just fine. According to them there is an issue with the Athlon 200 series and 2 HDMI outputs. But they didn't tell me what exactly the problem is nor could I find any real information about this. So I'm not sure if this is a problem with the CPU/APU or the motherboard itself. But as I said, using an HDMI adapter on the Displayport output works just fine and it even transfers 5.1 audio (which was very important in my case) just fine.
  4. Hi there, I'm using a Athlon 220ge on a "Gigabyte B450 I Aorus Pro Wi-Fi" without a graphics card. The CPU should support 3 monitors (AFAIK). But the mainboard does not send any signal to one of the ports. Even when I force the BIOS to switch to the second port, nothing is shown. I also tried it with Windows and Ubuntu. Both detect the connected monitor correctly. The OS don't detect any issues. I tried different HDMI cables, different monitors... just nothing. I updated the BIOS to the newest version and checked that the monitor actually works (it does). Any idea what could be wrong? I tried to explain it to the support but all they said is that they don't support Linux. They didn't respond to my second ticket yet.
  5. Nice video. Uhm no. I type in a PIN (instead of the password that gives me access to hotmail for example). But actually windows offers a couple of ways to login (Hello, PIN, Password, Fingerprint) and the one thing this thing can't do is ripping the password from an online-account. It only works if it is an offline Account and when the drive isn't encrypted (on MS hardware like the Surface, the drive is encrypted by default). What i don't like about this video: pretty much the same thing is possible on every OS, as long as the drive isn't encrypted. But on Linux you don't even need a live-cd or usb key to reset the root password. You can do it in GRUB. You can also reset the password without logging in on MacOS. And, if you have a live-cd/usb key, you have access to every file on the harddrive, if it is not encrypted. No matter which OS is installed. Edit: please excuse my bad english skills ^,^" but i like the Linus channel and just wanted to share my opinion on that one
  6. I just registered to say thank you; thank you! <:-) I was often thinking about using a second keyboard for hotkeys and even started to code my own (kinda shitty) thing, but never got really into it. The combination of LuaMacros and AutoHotkey is awesome! I'm reading and experimenting since a couple of days and yeah, it's totally fun.
