  3. It looks like you didn't leave enough space for air in your WC system, your reservoir seems to be fully to the top, that's no good. I had a similar issue but in my case it was the radiators' Delta fans that turned off due to a power failure (low juice/amperage) and then the WC liquid boiled till it exploded the reservoir, a tragedy...that time I've lost a X99S Gaming 9 AC MSI motherboard and a 5960x....after that I use only Air Coolers on my setups Today even a 3970x@PBO can be handled with an aircooler, IMHO the 10º to 15ºC in full load difference with custom WC does not justify the exotic cooling, the only justifiable is a 3990x@PBO CPU, with this one things get a little toasty and exotic cooling is required.
  4. I have a 2950x@PBO at 4.3-4.4GHz max boost in some cores with a Noctua NH-U14S TR4 SP3 and it cools fine at max 68ºC (PBO limited), but when OCed mannualy @all cores to 4.2GHz temps go to hell itself, above 80ºC... You have some options for the 3970X: 1) Use PBO and be happy with the Noctua 2) Best AIO (full coverage) go to Enermax Liqtech II 360mm Rad, but it doesn't appears to be a long lasting AIO, since there are a lot of complaints for the first rev. 3) For manual OC go custom WC and yet I think it will be a little hot (85ºC in some reviews like in derbauer test bench).
  5. Finally got 10k+ CPU : AMD Threadripper 1920x @ 4.025GHz GPU : Zotac 2080Ti AMP 2190/ 16400MHz Average FPS : 75.08 Score : 10038

  8. Improvements? 35-45% increase? Sounds like #AMD_Hype_Vol_2 Years to launch new CPUs and yet no match for Intel's Extreme series, if this is something, I would say it's sad for us enthusiasts.
  9. I wanna see EVGA KingPin, MSI Lightning, EVGA Hybrid and MSI SeaHawk for 1080Ti, maybe I sell my Txp and get one of these custom ones.
  10. I had SLI several times, it works fine for benchs, especially 3DMark,...for games, that's another history in these days. My last one was 2xTxp, sold already one of them...I would recommend to avoid SLI and get a better single card solution like the 1080Ti.
  11. Thanks for the tip. BIOS is something we need to test release by release, especially Motherboard BIOS, this also applies to hardware firmware releases, the latest one doesn't means it's the best.
  12. If I were you, I would keep the Haswell, no need for Ryzen in this scenario.
  13. I've just build my rig due to Bitcoin sales, but that was a long time ago (2012-2014)... But now, since there are too many whales in this mkt, I would prefer to "stay away from Bitcoin", it's more safe to normal people who don't wanna get hurt.
