    I have built a new pc recently, and brought a 980ti of my mate which he had watercooled, i removed the block and reinstalled the aircooler with the original thermal pads, new thermal paste, installed and works fine. Im running my pc on my 55" phillps 4k tv 3840x1920 with HDR enabled in windows. I have an idle temp of around 60-61 core clock or 980ish and mem clock of 3330. I disabled HDR and temps dropped to 47'C with 135 core and 430 mem clock. Is the higher temps running HDR going to affect my overall performance while in games, (i haven't ran any games or stress tests unless i do have a bad mount and could cause damage. I have the latest bios update on my x570 gigabyte auros (f33a) also the latest nivida drivers. Any help would be appreciated

    I have a Philips smart tv model - Philips 49PUx6401 and i was trying to see if there is a way (using apps or through the tv itself) to browse my shared network files and watch a movie. Im running 64 bit win10 on a desktop Pc which has the folder on it oringally. This will eventually be moved to a server im setting up. Any help would be greatly appreciated

    Hi, I have a pc for a client with some issues with a vga to usb adapter, it is a full height tower so we installed a nvidia 750 gpu. we have an issue where the nvidia driver installer cannot find the gpu, I am thinking it could be a motherboard issue and that the outdated drivers on it cant detect the gpu in the 16x slot. in device manager it shows the display adapter as a standard vga output device. Would updating the drivers fix this issue? The motherboard in an asus ipiel-LA3. It also wont display 2x monitors off of the GPU but i am assuming this is because the drivers are not updated, (1x HDMI and 1x DVI off of the GPU)

This is in my price range and with 4x usb3.0 its suitable

    Im going to be purchasing a new system in the upcoming months and have got stuck on a decent but affordable motherboard, i am going to get a i5 8600k in an corsair 750D, my current motherboard has 6 usbs on back panel and multiple headers on the board itself. I am looking for a board with 4+ usb 3.0 ports and 2+ usb 2.0 ports. I can only find motherboards with 2 usb 3.0 and 2 usb 2.0 in my price range, or maybe im just looking hard enough. Any help is appreciated.

    My mate has given me his new SSD as he does not have a copy of windows, I said I would clone my bootable SSD with windows on, to his SSD. I used EaseUS to clone the drive but the BOOTMGR was missing, I also discovered it has partitioned the drive into 2 halves, 121GB and 111GB. I cannot for the life of me get the partitions to go back together and delete the recovery partition. I tried creating a simple volume and extending to absorb the unallocated space but this just gives me an error message saying that there is not enough space. Many Thanks

    I was thinking of getting a i5 6600k to upgrade my old i5 3570k. The socket is LGA 1151 and overclockers.co,uk says the chip is good for Z170 chipsets. I was wondering if i was limited to Z170 or i could get a z270 (or better) board. Or is the z270 just a performace upgrade and i can still use a Skylake processor

    So I'm looking at building a new Intel based system using my existing corsair rm 650 psu and using my Samsung 840 evolution 120gb ssd for now but the basically a new system (Inc case) but I really wanna get a evga 980ti superclocked and I thought a good mobo to get would be a Asus maximus viii hero z170. I've always used Asus mobo's and never had an issue. I was just wondering if there was a better bang for my buck mobo that I was missing. Appreciate any help

    One of my co-workers has recently had his house flood, all is ok now and his insurance company has given his £1000 to go and build a new machine, I have said I would help him but then he said he wanted to build a AMD based system, which poses a problem for me as i know NOTHING about AMD software and components, as I have always been a Intel kind of guy. I was wondering if any of you guys could offer me some help in the form of what sort of components to recommend. He is looking to play FPS and games of the like. I have done abit of research and this is what ive come up with so far *my hopes and dreams*..... Any help would be greatly appreciated!
