  1. try removing the gtx card first and delete its driver , plug in the tesla ,boot into windows and install tesla drivers , then reinstall the gtx card with its drivers, hopefully this will work unless your CPU doesn't have integrated graphics
  2. hello , please could you share more infos about the performance of these cards in blender cycles
  3. It is not overheating since I don't perform heavy tasks these days , but just in case , I'm just intending to take special care of my system especially that i will be using solidworks and Ansys a lot next spring
  4. thanks a lot that was helpful , i will do some research about the 980ti and see if it suits my needs
  5. since gpu overheating decrease significantly the performance , I'm planing to water cool my quadro m4000 but I cant find cooling tools compatible with it , is it that the quadro m4000 do not need to be water cooled and the standard air cooling is sufficient so they don't make water cooling tools for it ?
  6. SO I need to have a second monitor and make it an extend to the first , and from nvidea settings I assign one graphics for each monitor , Is it like this ? and i think one of the monitors should be the primary monitor where windows is loaded through it , which make the graphics connected to the primary monitor the primary gpu . but what happens if I open Solidworks on both monitor ,half of the solidworks window is on the first monitor and the second half on the other monitor ? and Is there a way to check out at the very moment what graphics is runing solidworks from task manager or somewhere else i dont know ?
  7. I have a quadro m4000 to be used for professional applications (like solidworks) , and I'm planning to get a gtx 1080 for gaming , I read some topics about this issue but they all talks about runing them simultaneously for the same task (rendering or gaming ) , the thing is that if could i install both the quadro and gtx , so if I intended to play games I can disable the quadro and run the game only through the geforce ,in the other hand if i needed to use Solidworks using the quadro only . Is it possible to set them up to work like this ?!!
