  1. Congrats Linus and company! You guys totally deserve it. I, like many others, found your channel while researching for my own build and have been a fan ever since. Keep up the good work!
  2. My favorite features are the awesome build quality, the materials used in the phone, and the internal specs (mainly the CPU and RAM). I could use a new phone!
  3. For those of you who aren't on the smartwatch bandwagon yet, Woot is running a special on the Samsung Galaxy Gear right now. If I didn't already have my Pebble, I would probably pick one of these up, even though they are releasing the Gear 2 soon. http://www.woot.com/?ref=gh_w_1
  4. Hello to all you Linus fans out there! I am in the process of ordering parts for a current build and was wondering about intake fans for my Fractal Design Define R4. The stock fans are fine, but I don't particularly like the fact that they are white (even though you can't really see them, I know they're there). I'm looking at the Corsair Air Series AF140 Quiet Edition (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16835181028) but the description says they are for "unrestricted spaces." As I'm sure you all know, the Design R4 has a somewhat restricted front intake which leads me to my overall question: Would the Corsiar Air Series SP120 Quiet Edition (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16835181041) work better as a front intake fan for the Fractal Design Define R4 than the Corsair Air Series AF140 Quiet Edition (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16835181028)? By the way, here is my overall build: http://pcpartpicker.com/user/TheKryt1kal/saved/2UyP Thanks in advance!
  5. I personally love the unboxings. You always seem to throw in your two cents about whatever it is along with the box contents. Also, what would you do with your "Professional Unboxing" shirt if you stopped the unboxings?
  6. While I certainly do appreciate the suggestion, I'm sticking with Intel and Nvidia for my build. Also, I'm wanting to maintain a certain level of color coordination (for my own OCD sanity). Some may criticize me for this, but I am a firm believer in "you get what you pay for." If I have to pay a premium for something, most of the time it is well worth it. I personally believe this is the case for Intel processors and Asus ROG motherboards. One more thing: correct me if I'm wrong, but I think SLI/Crossfire would almost certainly be complete overkill for 2D gaming on a 1080p monitor.
  7. Yea I'll definitely add a WD Black drive for more storage in the future. I'm trying to stick with an Nvidia card just in case I want to install OS X in the future. I've read that OS X runs on them natively. I chose that motherboard because I am considering a "mild" overclock in the future, and also with the wireless AC built in I thought it was a pretty good deal for a motherboard of that quality.
  8. Looking to build my first gaming PC in the near future (within a month or so) and wanted to see what the community thought about the parts I had picked out. Let me know of any recommendations and/or improvements that can be made while still staying on budget. Thanks in advance! Current parts list: http://pcpartpicker.com/user/TheKryt1kal/saved/2Ukt 1. Budget & Location $1500 - $1600, located in North Carolina. I've already planned on ordering most of the parts from Newegg, unless Amazon has something cheaper. 2. Aim Gaming. And by gaming I mean Far Cry 3, Battlefield 4, The Forest (http://survivetheforest.com) and other similar titles. I plan on trying out some MMOs such as LOTRO as well. Other than that, I will probably only use this machine for some programming and web browsing. 3. Monitors Just bought a BenQ 24" 1080p gaming monitor (RL2455HM) and don't plan on adding any more anytime soon. 4. Peripherals I will need peripherals (keyboard, mouse, and headset mainly) but those are not factored into the budget. I feel like those are too much of a personal preference to be recommended on an online forum. 5. Why are you upgrading? I'm ready to make the switch from console gaming (these "next-gen" consoles don't strike my fancy) and my MacBook Pro just doesn't cut it for gaming.
