  1. What do you mean building it? I don't think I have the know-how. I am in Barcelona. thanks!
  2. Wow thus Moonlander is a beast! I definetely want it now, but it's way out my budget, especially because itt'd be shipped outside the US... I heard this opinion on the 4000, it's difficult to find but it's cheaper. Downsides I see, without having tested it, is the numpad and also not sure about the feel of the switches... What's your take on that? Thanks a lot!
  3. Hi guys! I wanna upgrade my keyboard. I started working as a translator and I see my old Skiller combined with my small table is straining me a lot. So I have been looking for ergonomical keyboards. I started looking and I am overwhelmed. I decided to put my desired specs here, and see what comes up. mechanical keyboard (preferably MX Brown switches -- I am a touchtypist) No numpad Ergonomic (don't need it split or whatever, but ergo enough, or customizable, so as not to be that strained.) (optional) wired So I am looking for durability, stability, being able to type for hours easily. Any ideas come to mind? P.S. I've seen a lot of people talking about the Microsoft Sculpt and de Logi K870, but I fear they are too lowprofile keys for me... Plus, not big fan of wireless and batteries. The Kinesis line looks quite good, but it's a bit expensive. Thanks a looot.
  4. Ok, thx. Thing is, does it cost the difference? Depending on the version, but it's around 100 bucks between 4gb rx480 and 6gb gtx1060. Is it worthy?
  5. Could u elaborate on the side note? Finally I got an i5-6500 and I am trying to decide between rx480 and gtx 1060. So u say either 4gb RX480 or 6gb gtx1060? Why?
  6. U should then look for the B150, but it exceeds your price range I fear https://rog.asus.com/articles/maximus-motherboards/whats-the-difference-between-z170-h170-b150-and-h110-chipset-motherboards/
  7. And of course, main issues were with the grub. Sorry I forgot. edit: dunni why this box above appeared nor how to delete it -.-
  8. Well I messed up a laptop that came with win8, uefi and secure boot. It was a couple years ago, and I did not manage to install ubuntu or linux mint (don't remember). Ended up breaking the bios. At the end I tried again and installed debian and just worked. So maybe it's already solved.
  9. Hi there. I am bulding a modest gaming pc that should work also as my personal machine. Meaning I am planning on dual boot (windows for games and adobe; debian for the rest). Thing is, I am trying to decide over a mobo (nowadays Asus H110M-M.2 is on the top) but I am concerned about the BIOS coming with UEFI. Anyone know if it can be changed to legacy? Is there a f--g secure boot? I am aksing this because in the past I encountered problems between Linux and UEFI, and I wanna be sure it won't be the case with the new mobo. thanks.
  10. As far as I know, it only gnaws at your desktop saying "oh, you should activate me" and does not allow you to change your desktop wallpaper. Those are restrictions? I don't see the point of paying at least 30$ for not seeing the notice and have a nice wallpaper. Maybe it'll keep getting worse, as it happened with windows 7, I dunno...
  11. cool, but I don't think I'll be overclocking anything. I am leaving my precious PS4 just for Sar Citizen and I wanna take it easy. I just need a machine that will run Star Citizen swiftly, and that can serve as a modest workstation. And not too expensive
  12. but you think should have a problem running star citizen and other similar games? I guess it's enough.
  13. Wellm, seems like a good gbu. And I like the sapphire nitro+ 4GB cause of the directx12 and vulcan support. 4GB it's just for the budget, cheaper than 8 -.-
  14. thanks. Shouldn't have bottleneck on the CPU, right?
  15. Hi. I am planning a computer for gaming (star citizen!) but also it should be able to do some work (Adobe Suite, basically). So I thought about i5-4690, cause it's good deal even if its got the "old" socket 1550. I got a good deal on a RX 480 (4GB) and I was wondering if it was a good combination, in terms and performance and so on. Any thoughts on this would be welcome. thanks!
