  1. if you use the upgrade tool on the windows site it will still give you a key however i still recommend backing up the files in case you want to revert to win 7 i tested this with a pc earlier this week
  2. i have to many HDD's for that case to be an option
  3. I'm looking for a new computer case as my current one has a bent side panel and i want to move to a case where i can turn off the LEDS at night since i am often rendering at night when i go to bed which is why i would like a quieter case then i currently have. i have a noise floor of about 35 Decibels, so that would preferably be the loudest i would want my Case to be. I would like at least 1 5.25 bay with 6-8 hard drive bays. Do you guys have any recommendations. i would like a window to view components but it is not nessessary. budget of around 150 USD at most one of my dogs laid down on a side panel while it was on my bed while i was working on cleaning up the cable managment after installing my 1060 6gb. and for reference im currently using a raidmax viper GX.
  4. one thing i feel they forgot to test was framerate averages as frame drops and studders are often caused by the latency of pulling memory off of you storage disk which would theoretically increase the framerate of the 1% drops
  5. i will do that since that will be easier than trying to find an upadated pinout
  6. mine has a 24 pin on the psu side so thats incorrect
  7. im planning on making custom cables for my power supply if someone has the pinout could you let me know so i can work on the custom cables since i dont know how to test the pinouts. the pinouts i have seen use a different 24pin plug and i dont want to tear down my psu since its currently in use
  8. going to place a acrylic tray about 7 inches above the base using some metal rods
  9. Built a custom compuer case From scratch an 18inch laptop and a stick of ddr1 for size reference https://imgur.com/a/r2dBZ What are your guys opinions of the build before i put the parts in it
  10. I am going to be doing a custom set of cases for a couple however they want the cases side windows to face oposite ways while still being able to see components anyone know of any good cases to do that with or a method of doing it on an nonreversable mobo tray by drilling the rivets out. I would like to use the S340 but i do not know whether it would be a good case for a reversed mobo tray
  11. The Idea More Incorporates a Computer that folds out into a desk as well as the PC so the setup for the pc would just be to press a button and it would fold out into an entire workstation with mouse & Keyboard
  12. Dear Reader, I recently had an idea for a computer mod the reason the idea for the mod i will talk about arrived is one of two reasons first of all there is not a good way to store away an entire Gaming Rig to save space when it is not being used as well as the fact i am constantly rearranging furniture within my own home and having a Gaming rig that takes up little space would be more easily move around. My Idea for a “Case” Mod Would be to have an entire battle station with all the peripherals including monitors in a case that would be about the size of a mid-tower PC case allowing for greater portability as well as being easily storable when you have little space. I have a decent idea of how i would have the system compacted into such a space, i would most likely use servos as well as sliding mounts to have the PC ‘fold’ Into such a small space however i don't feel that i would ever have the spare cash to build a high powered gaming pc as well as being able to afford the components needed for the mod as i am an autistic gamer and have had an increasingly hard time trying to get a job to be able to afford what i enjoy. Thanks For Reading Matthew Bell (Bobis32) What are ideas You've had for a PC mod that you personally cant Afford?
  13. i have a great idea for anyone who would think this is an issue "Put a Password on You Bios" i havent used UEFI but on my 8 year old computer i can put a password on my bios and requires a password to change boot drives or entering the bios
  14. on both drives i own there is an indicator light stating whether or not data is being transfer on mine if the lights off ill tend just to unplug it
  15. i would like to see a video comparing Cpu bottlenecks for gpus for cards ranging from hd 6900 to newer cards on platforms like core 2 quad q6600 or q9450 all the way to the enthusiest grade cpus
